Alright so it's been forever since I've been able to get on but I just got moved into a new place this last month and have gotten things under way. I haven't gotten ahold of a decent camera yet so no pics :'(
I germinated 2 bag seed just to test my germ method, then I germed just one Easy Ryder to document for reference when I start the other four. The seed popped and was transplanted to soil within 48 hours and was above soil within 72 hours. I planted the germed seed in a pot, approx 3.7 gallons, which was filled with a mix of Happy Frog and perlite, about 25% perlite for the bottom 3/4 and about 35% perlite for the top 1/4 of the pot. The pot also has about an inch of stones at the bottom. It was kept under a combo of one 2 foot sunblaze fluoro strip and two 2 foot pink fluoro strips for the first 15 days. It was placed under the 600 watt hortilux hps, 3 1/2 feet from the light, on day 15 and developed it's first set of pistils on the 17th day. Today is day 21 above soil and it is about 10 inches tall with the 11th set of leaves showing and many more sets of pistils now. I gave it its first nutrients on wednesday, a very light mix of biocanna flores&vega, rhizotonic and voodoo juice. I've been using the rhizo every other watering because unfortunately I live in a very hot, very dry place and temps have stayed between 82-86 and humidity has stayed between 50-70 for the most part with a LOW of 77 degrees & 33% humidity, and a HIGH of 92 degrees & 95% humidity, horrible I know but amazingly besides a few slightly curled leaves she is doing great and growth seems very healthy. I am curious to see what kind of vigour she would have under optimum conditions. Hopefully I'll find out soon, I'm working on getting and AC unit for the room, which should make things much more hospitable, lol. Air circulation is very good in the space and I have been sure not to over or under water her. I started watering once a week, now it's once every 5 days, eventually I think it will be every 3 days. I believe that the care I have put into the plant from the soil down is what is helping her deal with the heat. Still 75 degrees at 55% humidity or so would be nice, lol. Soil temp has stayed a consistent 2-3 degrees higher than air temp.
I also started to germ 4 seeds on the 4th, one Fem Blue Hash from Dinafem, one Fem Blue Venom from G-13 Labs, one Fem Pineapple Express from G-13 Labs, and one bagseed that seemed very promising, lol. All four popped within 24 hours and were transplanted to 6 inch square pots filled with Happy Frog and perlite, approx 35% perlite, within 48 hours. All four sprouted before day 4 and are now under the same 2 foot sunblaze as the ER was but the pink fluoros were replaced with two cfl bulbs, I can't remember the wattage but they each put out 1,600 lumens at 6500K. All of the seedlings are happy and healthy and also seem relatively unaffected by the heat, although they are in a slightly cooler spot than the ER. Also they have all developed their second true leaves. So as it stands I am 7 for 7 on germin', hopefully I'll be 7 for 7 with females too, a male or two would be cool too because I could just pollinate the best female out of those four just to see how the seeds turn out. So things are going good so far and I'm going to try and get some nice pics as soon as possible.
Much Love to everyone out there growing!!
