when will i get crystals on my plant

hi my plant has been in flowering for bout 2 weeks and i was wondering when i will get crystals and a good smell off it and also i read that when ur white pistols go orangey brown its ready but some of mine are goin orange is this normal i am still going to wait about a month or too lol to see what hapens or is this not long enough here are my pics of my plant in its new pot this is my first grow all i have been is sitting it at my window lol tell me what u think and im also only 16 years old so money is tight lol wb

but FYI

Ur plant looks like its lacking major light so U probably wont get anything off it.
If U cant tell the sex of ur plant by now it isnt flowering.
Ur supposed to flower till Ur crystals turn amber, judging by the hair is a bad indicator.
Ur plant looks mostly sativa so it could take up to the next 4 months to finish flowering.

em yeah 16 and my plant is under a light now and its defenatly a female its got loads of white pistols its just the shit cam i have that makes it look bad lol em could u tell me what kind of plant it could be because i got the seed from my m8 and he didnt even know what it is lol if u know i would be very thankful

If U cant smell it by now, and U got it outta bag of weed then that means its probably a low-grade strain. Depending on where U live and whats popular there it could be close to impossible to ID the plant.


Most bagseeds are considered "low grade" bcuz they are usually the product of either:

a) a hermie which means the 'hermaphrodite trait' is still present in the plant and its possible that it may still hermie...which isnt always a bad thing especially if U like the smoke from a particular plant. But even if U get a tiny amount of pollen on a pure female in ur garden it will have a bunch of seeds, and all of those seeds are now considered bad bcuz of the 'hermaphrodite trait' that is in the pollen.

b)a first time cross between 2 strains- The first time cross (or F1 as most people refer to it) is usually very unstable and genetically screwed up. I've grown 2 plants that were F1 crosses and neither one of them produced any bud that was worth smoking. Neither one of the plants had any crystals or smells to them, they grew beautifully and flowered large buds, but they didnt have any crystals on them so I didnt get high off of them at all. the worst part is that they were both crossed with sativa, and sativa takes forever to finish (or so it seems) and I put all that time, energy and effort into growing garbage.
