Help - How Do I Maintain A Continual Crop with 1 Grow Tent?

Hello, I have completed my first succesful grow and now Im ready to move on to my second grow.

My setup:

1 grow tent (5ft x 5ft), 600watt metal halide lamp, Wilma 4 pot hydro drip feed system.

My question is this:

How can i mantain a continual drop of plants through veg and flowering with one grow space?

Im assuming it cant be done because I would always have some plants in veg and others in flower.... But can it be done?

Sure it can. 5x5 is a good sized space, all you have to do is figure a way to partition it off. You can't do a perpetual harvest without a separate veg and flowering chamber. Not sure how many plants you'll be able to do, but it sounds like a fun project.

option 2 would be to put under 12/12 right out of the seed. you will be surprised how big the plants get when not given a month of 18/6. they wont yield quite as much but u can continually keep plants moving through.

A veg/clone area can be as small and simple as a shelf in your closet with two 24" flouro's or a couple CFL's. Shit people grow full term in hollowed out speakers or rubbermaid bins or even computer cases etc. Insanely small areas.

I'm sure you can find that area somewhere can't you? Beats having to buy seeds all the time, that's not cheap. And beats being limited to 12/12 from seed also which might make them always smaller than you actually want.

You can simply veg your plants until they are ready to flower.. right before you flower them you take cuttings "clones" from those plants (still vegging) and you just need to buy a fluorescent lamp (100 watt is just enough) .... and a mini green house which looks like this---->http://www.jst.nl/photogallery/photo23911/mini kweekbak.jpg ...to root the clones... keep them in there till they root, once they reach the roof of the mini greenhouse, just take it off because they will be big enough to manage at lower humidities... although higher the better for vegging plants....,
finally when you decide you can just set them in the flowering room.....

The mini green house works as a tiny grow room, that will keep high humidity for the baby's.... no need an actual room for this, just the fluorescent lamp sitting on your desk.... and the green house under is just fine...

take it easy and i hope you manage......
peace out

Thank you very much for the advice so far. How about this idea:

I currently have three plants growing, they are about 3 weeks old but doing pretty well. I could 'early sex them' to find the females. Once i Have these I could take clones and just keep the whole crop on a flowering cycle of 12/12. When i get a bit low on crop I could just take more clones.

But can you take clones during flowering?

Yes of course you can, but its not a great idea... they take about 1 month to revert to vegging.. so you basically loose a month and it doesnt do the plant much good.. they tend to look weird after... and harvest weigh less......
if you set up the little green house and lamp soon... you can clone each of your 3 plants... take 2 clones of each plant... and label them... put them in the little greenhouse.. which you should be able to find at your local gardening store...
and place the 3 big plants in to flower..... when they reveal their sex... you just remove the males.. and get rid of the clones that came from those plants.....
you can obviously take alot more than 2 clones.. but 2 is a minimum incase one dont make it
Peace out

use your tent as the flower room and the outdoors as the veg room (depends on weather) take cuttings off the vegging plants (4-6weeks) then with the vegging plants change to 12/12, stick cuttings in a mini greenhouse wait till they root, then stick em in the garden... when your other plants have flowered the ones in the garden will be ready to take cuttings then go the flower tent, reapeat process,, depending on how bad the winter is for you... the outdoors could become flower room (as less light in winter obviously) and the grow tent can become veg room..

Easy

Tent: flowering

Take cuttings from your flowering girls, lots of them -- you can get many clones from the lower branches

Then setup a simple DWC cloner somewhere outside. While your plants are flowering, you can easily grow your clones. Keep em under very tight low light. They will get a lot of roots.

When flowers are ready - put clones into the tent. They will explode in growth with proper soil and treatment.

Repeat.

best option in one space is 12/12 from seed forever
im in the same boat, gonna buy some seeds on the weekend to start the new experimental 12/12 perpetual grow,
il try it for a few months with a few different strains and see how it goes
12/12 from seed with all ur space seems like a waste but if u get mainly sativa strains they might fill up the space better than indica dominant strains(does that make sence?)
u could throw clones straight into flower but its not the best way to do things.
