Hi this is my fist post and grow.
I have 7 plants growing all feminised and a couple of them seem to be male. How is this. Could some one please confirm if it has balls here are a few pics. This is the big budda cheese fem. I will post pics of all the others tomorrow. Any help will be most appreciated.

Thanks

I can't really tell from these pics, maybe somebody more experienced will be able to tell. But feminized are never 100% female, there's always a chance of hermies.

Maybe just pre-flowers? :hump:

I won't claim to be able to tell from those pics, but I worried about the same thing with my fem seeds and it did turn out to be the beginning of flowers.

how far into flowering are you? most feminized seeds are 99.99% female .1% male meaning out of 1000 seeds 1 was male, if it's male you should see oval like balls in between the main stem and a branch and normally have a stem coming from it, if its female you should see a sort of fury pistol with a few white hairs coming out in the same location, depending on the size of your plan, normal you can see early pre-flowers between the 5th and 6th nod, which is where a branch meets the main stem

Look at the Diagram below for a better idea

I have already moved this one out of the flower room now just in case. It is in the garden in a huge pot. :wall:

I hope the others are female will post pics tomorrow.

Thanks

yeah if there feminized the they obviously would be female but there are chances that it may turn to a hermaphidite if the roots r being fuckd with:ex:burn't drown'd,stunt, ext, but if it is a male, :(

They are on day 9 of 12/12 and there are small balls on small sticks. They are under 600hps and temps are between 79f-85f day and 67-75f night. They are a total of 8 weeks old and 2ft tall. Bio buzz has been used throughout veg and so far in flower. They are in organic soil.

Just hoping the other 2 cheese are not males as they have some of the same traits as the one in the pic. better pics tomorrow

depending of the strain they really dont show pre-flowers until 1.5-2 weeks into flower, please post some close up shots of these balls so i may assist you better in figuring out if they are males

A mother plant must stay in constant vegetative growth a light cycle of 18hr on and 6 off so dont leave it outside when it gets close to winter it will bud

I currently have the same problem. What it is, is that not all feminized strains are stable. I purchased The Church from Greenhouse Seeds and that is one of them... it cost me $5 a seed, no wonder. To make a feminized seed you do all of these things that essentially stress a female plant hermie. So unless the seedbank/breeders have stabilized the strain to no longer be hermie (there are good feminized strains out there), the plant is highly likely to be hermie just as its genetics are. What I do is use my thumb to rub off all of the seed balls. Of course you'll have plenty of obvious bud sites, so you need to look for the seed spots... they're very small. Check out my Church plant that went hermie recently, also under a 600watt HPS:

I just looked at your pics again, and I think you might be right in having a pure female plant. I'd still be skeptical for seed balls because you never know.

Okay, so your saying the one plant you had that had the balls turned out not to be male?
No, my plant "The Church" is definitely a hermie because it is an unstable feminized strain. The person who posted this thread said they had feminized seeds that they thought were male, and I was inferring that a lot feminized strains are hermie by nature because the genetics haven't been fine-tuned yet.

I think the person who posted this thread has feminized plants that are perhaps purely female, with no hermie traits, implying that they have a stable feminized strain growing, whereas I do not. I am growing other feminized strains that aren't showing hermie traits yet, so for now I'm assuming "The Church" from GreenHouse Seeds is an unstable strain when feminized.

Hi all,
what i was saying is that i thought female preflowers didn't look anything like balls on sticks but the balls on the cheese sprouted hairs out of them with no other ball traits, although i did go on one romoving some of the balls then got paranoind that i was killing preflowers which i was. i have another cheese plant which looks abit doubious will post new pics soon. The one that is outside is staying out there as i dont want to intoduce dieses or bugs to grow room. pics will be done in a few hours. need my meds then ill get on it :-P

That last pic looks like opening seed pods. All of the other pics looks like female pre-flowers. You'll get the hang of it soon. Seed pods are distinctly like balls, where as female pre-flowers and resin glands are more like sideways tear drops that should have white pistils starting to come out of them. You can even feel the different if you rub your thumb gently on them.

can a male seed pod open after only 2 weeks of 12/12? i would of thought the plant would need to be much more mature. I hope so otherwise im gonna have alot of seeds :?. here are close ups on a couple of same on 2 plants
