well i finally got my setup complete with 5 6" vented 1000 watt lights and a 745 cfm 8" inline fan to draw air through them. i also have an ac which i used a splitter to exhaust both the hoods and the a/c however it seems like the a/c is not cooling after about 10 minutes. do they need to be exhasuted seperatley or is my plan to big? I cant seem to get the temp down past 90 degrees and it seems like the exhaust forces slow each other down when they meet at the splitter to exhaust.

you probably have everything backed up at the spliitter. just because they make y splitters like that doesnt mean that you can hook up two 8" ducts into one 8" duct without loosing some of the suction. try getting a much bigger splitter. like a 12 or 14. and use reducers on each of the splits down to 8. you'll probably get better results.
