mold problem - Does it spread

I noticed one of my plants has mold growing on it. I cut off the infected bud two days ago but I just noticed that there are more buds on the same plant infected. I have moved the fan a little to concentrate air flow on that side of the room (room is 4x4 feet) but I'm worried it might start to appear on the rest on the plants. I've 9 in total all squashed intogether. I'm in my 7th week or so of flowering of Northern lights. They are not fully done but they are close enough.

Any ideas what I should do? Should I totally remove the infected plant?

How easily will it spread.

Humidy is highish (60%) but I have 1 good fan and 2 extrators as well as a nice inlet for fresh air.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I had the same problem and it spread very rapidly!!!It stopped after i added a bigger fan ands was more dilligent in my spraying of the plants. It's hard to do much when the plant is making bud's,a friend recommended that i use a copper based fungicide, some thing like copper sulphate, but at that stage i had decided to harvest early and not risk the rest of the crop....basically fungus sucks :cuss:

Sound like a wise idea to spend a few euro on another fan. I'll get one first thing tomorrow.

check out the other mold thread
Will do Stinkhole.

Due to the high humidity I've been afraid to spray the buds as I fear it will only increase the humidty further.

Any other ideas, tricks are most welcome

I'd go for the second one higher capacity,i leave mine on
24/7 when needed, try not feeding them every day too,
give them a break, use your finger at the top of the soil, push it down
into the plant if the first two to three inches are dry then it need's water,
what are you growing them in soil wise?

Yes, it's a soil mix. As this is my first grow I thought best to keep it simple. Sorry, I don't feed them every day. Maybe 4-5 days a week giving them around 1/3 of a litre each. I try and mix it up a little bit. Normally I allow the soil to dry up a bit as you just mentioned but some days I give them a little extra watering, just enough so a tiny bit of water comes out the bottom. As you can imagine it's 1 big long interesting learning curve.

I think I'll go with the second one. If it's too much I can always use the timer to knock it off

Have you an extraction fan in your growroom????
ANd check all your fans etc...when i had the problem i
found that the fan i was using to circulate air around
the room wasn't working properly, sometimes it can be simplest
of things that can cause shit to happen, and when you fix it,it will be one
less thing to worry about in the future ;)

It's probably a case of not having a big enough fan circulating the air. I've a carbon filter to in line fan to cooling tube to an extractor fan. I also have only one fan hanging blowing air onto the tops of the plants. The plant with the problem was the on receiving probably the least amount of air. I'm going to just add most fans and the dehumidifier. That should sort things out. Cheers for the advice

You are in your 7th week of flowering and still misting your plant? That's the problem and probably the reason for your elevated humidity.
Misting is great in the growth stage, but should stop when you go into flower. That is just asking for mold. Just my .02 cents.

just try getting a bigger circulating fan a 16" one fairly cheap but it will blow
that fungus right off them bulbs, same happened me,ther first plant that got it was
recieving the least amount of circulated air,and it spread from there!!!

Yeah seems like that's probably what I should of been doing. I've had single 9in fan running which was fine for a while but things are a good bit more hetic now that Is so close to harvest. Read that in the last 2 weeks is when I should be most vigiliant.

Cheers for the help man

No probs and if all else fails and you see da fungus on other plants,
my best advice is to chop them all,and rescue what you can you only got a week
or two left!!!
