I wouldn't order from Nirvana. While some people on here swear by them I don't like that they nearly copy the name of great strains, like AK47, and their strain may be nothing like the name they're piggybacking. AK48 is a stone, AK47 is a high. There's the odd bad review like any other bank but nothing out of line with most other bank's complaints. There are too many great breeders to waste time and space in the garden on mediocracy.

Great breeders who ship to the US

What kind of high / stone do you want?

DJ Short

The first spectrum to consider is the "up and down". "Up" refers to the stimulating aspects of cannabis, while "down" refers to sedative qualities. Up pot tends to liven the disposition and stimulate the emotions, inspiring sociability and talkativeness. Down pot tends to produce sedative and depressant effects. Some people refer to stimulating pot as being a "head" high and sedative pot as being a "body" high, yet although partially true this is also misleading.

Body and head highs are the next spectrum of the cannabis experience. Generally speaking, head highs are stimulating and body highs are sedative, but not all are. Some body highs are stimulating and some head highs are depressing. I once sampled a terribly paranoia-inducing head pot that inspired great couch lock qualities. I called it Boo-Goo.

Early to late harvest will affect the head to body spectrum expressed by a certain plant, with the later harvest tending to produce more body and sedative effects. However, I believe that certain aspects of this spectrum to be genetically inherited.

Next to consider are aspects of duration. Some cannabis tends to be short-acting (15-30min) whereas other varieties last much longer (6-7 hours). Once again production, harvesting and curing techniques can influence aspects of this spectrum, but much of this effect is inherited.

For me, the most important aspect of the cannabis experience to consider is tolerance. This refers to the product's ability to provide the same experience via the same amount over time – the burnout factor. By "over time" I mean the long run: months, years, decades...

Most of the cannabis I see on the market today has a terrible tolerance factor – a quick burnout time with the product's novelty lasting less than a week. Luther Burbank's model of breeding needs to be employed here and no expression of tolerance to your product is to be tolerated. An example of where intolerance to tolerance is tolerated – enough already!

Another aspect of tolerance is "ceiling." This refers to how high (or far) one is capable of going with the variety. How many hits can you consume until more hits are unnoticeable? Most indicas have a low ceiling of less than 10 hits. For me that's usually around 5 hits in one smoking session. If I smoke more than 5 hits of a strong indica I will either not notice the post-ceiling hits, or I will fall asleep.

Some sativas have a very high ceiling, or seem to have none at all! This means that the more you consume, the higher and further you go. Oaxaca Highland Gold, Black Magic African, and Highland Thai were some of the herbs I've tried with very high or no ceiling.

The final aspect of mental effects to consider when sampling strains for breeding is the tendency to produce anxiety. Certain strains of cannabis increase anxiety while others decrease it. This is also true for other emotions, which some strains may suppress while others may augment their intensity. Generally stimulating and head varieties are the ones that can produce unwanted anxiety, but this is not always the case. Quickly cured buds or an over-early harvest are contributing factors to anxiety-increasing pot, but this trait is also genetic in nature.

from the smoke reviews from this site and others, i bought jock horror
a good number of growers don't think much of nirvana, but this strain seems to compare well to any sativa dominant strain available

I wouldnt waste my money on nirvana

for the beginners and noobs alike, Nirvana is a fine choice

heck, they're a fine choice for anybody, but especially low budget growers just trying to get their feet wet and grow their own

then, when they are more comfortable/experienced, they might want to try more expensive stock

i'd be willing to bet Nirvana's NLxShiva would be as good a high as one could achieve....especially with so-called "cheap seeds"

I dont trust them on potency or stability, and when growing inside, stability is important.

Each to their own, but i can say for sure, the genetics aint all that.

i grew ppp from nirvana and it's the best weed i've ever smoked. I've bought what ppl call "dro" or to us a high quality strain and it doesn't compare to ppp. This strain will give you an awesome head high for 4 for more hours dependind on how much you smoke. It will make you very active but then the low indica % kicks in and makes you not want to move. I highly reccomend this strain.

I grew some snow white which is mostly indica and it does give you major couchlock but it doesn't compare to ppp. I actually didn't like it period.

I would like to order from some of these other companies that sell single seeds for $20-30 and maybe one day I will just to experience the difference, but when I can buy a single seed for $3 or feminized for $9 of some of the most killer ass bud, why not? Is a $30 seed really going to make you that much higher or is that just their markup?

Now I will talk shit about nirvana and their stats on strains. When they switched their new site over their stats changed. They do some fishy shit. I've read threads saying they buy seeds from other breeds and crossbread to call it their own. I don't know it's just what i've read.

I've used Nirvana with absolutely no problems. I hear good things about their AK-48, Papaya, Bubblicious and PPP.

yeah i decided to stray away from nirvana. i got my hands on some more bag seed so im gonna try and have a successful bagseed grow before i invest money on seeds i guess. i was going to buy from marijuana-seeds.nl though they give a free pack of 5 with every order so u cant really beat that plus they are pretty decently priced...(fem is 3x more expensive though) and they have a lot of good well known strains like WW and others that i definietely wanted to try.

Yep, I suggest using bagseed first grow. The knowledge you take will be unforgetable. I suggest using a word doc. for notes on future grows. The learning curve is tremendous and minor things make huge differences after the first grow.

Then after one grow or about the time your plants are in their last flowering month start some purchased seeds.

3 best tips....buy Ocean Forest soil, A ph dig. meter, and water a day after you think they need it cause these plants like a little dry air spell to the roots.

Seed suggestions- Anything Serious seeds, Seedman Seeds White Widow, Barneys blue cheese, Greenhouse White Rhino, Reserva Primada OG #18 or Purplewreck. Be sure to look over Elite seeds cause they are sounding tremendous on all seeds and have some seeds at decent prices non fem...

just harvested some ak48. It's great smoke. High lasts for a long time and it's both a head and body high. Rich dark taste...sweet on your lips...I even get a little bit of numbness on my lips when i smoke it.

Grew like a champ...flowered hard and quick.

For $25...pretty hard to beat imo.
