Growing with a DWC using the hydrofarm drip system in 5 Gallon Buckets. About 3/4 strength FoxFarm nutes (grow big/big bloom). Hydroton medium.
What's wrong with this (5 days flowering)

Watered about 12 hours a day...i left the pump on all day today tho.

yep the roots will be drowned, you need to give the roots air, follow eman420's advice

The only way the roots get air is to have the pump running...air is pumped to the bottom of the bucket which forces the water up the tube and through the drip. Thats how this system works. This is a new finding I havent had any previous problems with this. Normally these plants will suck up about 1-2 gallons in 3-5 days. When I asked my local hydro guy about adding some airstones he said it shouldt be a problem the way it is just keep it running and it should get ther airation it needs.yep the roots will be drowned, you need to give the roots air, follow eman420's advice

Is there anyone out there using a DWC-deep water culture that could give me a hand with this ?...i've been finding soil growers have a little trouble understanding the situation. Not that I don't appreciate their help.
ok well i googled dwc and found this that might help you its out the hydroponics indoor horticulture book "
The system relies upon an air pump and an air stone to bubble air through the nutrient solution to mix it, but also in the beginning to generate spray, so as to get the clay pebble medium wet in order to establish the roots through the net pot. Consequently, the water has to be high enough to saturate the clay pebble medium by means of getting it wet or even moist via the actions of the bursting air bubbles. Once the plant has established a good root system, then it is advisable to lower the level of water in the bucket so that some of the roots can be allowed to hang in the air between the net pot and the water level. The majority of the roots live in the aerated deep water, 24 hours a day. With 24 hours a day in mind, as the roots are constantly submerged, it is crucial that the air pump is on 24 hours a day. Fuckin awesome...thanks. I never used the clay but my water level could be just a little high.
