I usually frequent the bars around Playa Del Rey; like the Prince of Wales, the Shack, Moe's, Tompkins Square, the Custom, and the Harbor Room.

It's on Manhattan Blvd. 1/2 a block south of the pier. I've been to The Shack and that Italian place that makes fried bread with cheese in it. yummmmmmmm

They can be helpful at times. I think they are amazed, a little scared, and being very cool about it.

It's been gone for a good ten years or so, if I remember correctly. There are still gov't offices there, and I believe one of the county DBH clinics are there too. The county hospital is now Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, I believe in Rialto. (Close enough, anyway. lol) I went there for back X-Rays every three months for quite a good chunk of my childhood & teenage years. It was actually pretty functional back then (for county, lol), but I heard it got worse and worse throughout the years. (My mom's an R.N., so I hear a lot about the hospitals in the IE.)

I heard that County Hospital got bad, I don't know about Arrowhead.
Also it's County where I got the constant X-Rays, again not Arrowhead.
(Looked confusing as to what I was referring. lol)
