Watering during vacation

So, I got myself an outdoor grow-op. I'm going away for 5 days and I have no one else to water the plants for me(for obvious reasons). I was thinking about overwatering the plants right before I leave. I was also thinking about taking 2L pop bottles, fill them up with water, poke a hole in the lid and place them upside down in the soil near the plants.

Has anyone tried these ideas before, and know if they work? Or does somebody have a better idea?

*edit* My plants jut started sprouting(I didn't germinate) on sunday and the last one sprouted today. So the plants aren't that large yet. And I'm leaving Sunday afternoon.

I'm going to do an outdoor grow soon, also. A lot of people on here will tell you that you have to water the plants every other day...but there are a decent few who will tell you that MJ plants like all natural growing..check your forecast, and if there isnt any rain in the time that you are leaving, I would suggest either watering capsules (gels usually), a wick, or a drip.

You can use one of those big drums and fill it with nutes and/or water on a timer that lets you set on different days
