What size do you go into before the 5 gallon, i go into red plastic cups straight from clone.
Trying to see how far i can go with the red cup now. Got a WW about 6-7 inches tall so far in the cup. Hoping i can stick with the cups all the way through flower. Any thoughts hempy man?

I start in rockwool and put rooted clones into 1/2 gallon pails; they're tall not wide. Looking back I see I did that on April 10. They were little and now they are about 12/14 inches high. They will spend another 4/5 weeks in the 5 gallon buckets before I flower.

It's hard to imagine your yield will be much in a small cup, but I've heard of growing great big plants in tiny containers but you'll be watering them every two hours! Right now my flowering plants are drinking 2 gallons each every 4 days. I say put your WW in a great big beer tub with 2 bushels of perlite and let it rock on veg for 6 months. I may end up doing something like that myself with all the clones I've got right now! It's hard to figure out the cycles so that I can have some free time and leave for a week once in a while.

awesome on the pickle buckets/grow basement i got a few clones im hoping to take root in the next week and start them out in quart chinese tAKEout soup containers prolly be usin cfl's and botanicare neuts as im a broke joker !go hempy!

Well, it's been a while since I've updated and I'm sorry; I hope I haven't lost all you readers and hempy buddies out there!kiss-ass Things are progressing.

I have 20 clones in 5 gallon buckets. They were cuttings at the start of April.

I also have 3 plants grown from seed which I threw into bloom long enough to show sex.

2 others were male and one was an autoflower which started blooming 5 weeks after germ. I've never had one of those before. I'm waiting to see how it turns out.

I have 12 more clones but ran out of perlite and buckets. They can wait I don't have any room to flower them anyway.

5 plants in the bloom room, 2 have been there for 60 days, three for a week or so less. They are getting close!

That autoflower. It smells distinctly different from my usual gear.

I think my topping and training definitely contributes to bigger and more buds . . .

Well, that's what I've got. I've had a little spider mite activity as the season warms up, nothing I can't handle. I have to do major treatment when I finish this bloom cycle. I hope to flower 15 plants starting July 1. Thanks for your support!

plants are looking good man... i'll be pressing my nose against the cpu screen as the 20 clones go big. reinvest some of that 'easy money' from these 2 almost ready girls for some glass for the hoods... or maybe some cooltube reflectors... then you could drop those lights down another 12". Good luck on the coming sea of green.

Thanks man. Actually I raised the lights to take pix, but I do have some heat issues. I'm a pay as you go guy though, so I need more capital to upgrade (again!). I'm going to stick a few more fans in there for now.

The 20 clones are basically my Apollo XI. Everything before has been research of one kind or another. Now we are ready for the moon landing.

I can't WAIT!!!!!!

I gotta water stuff tonight and think about chopping down two girls. They have been flowering for 66 days. Then three other girls right after that. The veg side is going nuts right now. I'll get some pictures up tonight.

Here's a look at my grow this week. I'm debating what to do next. I have all these 5 gallon plants but I've also got this other group and I've run out of buckets, perlites and lights! So maybe I should flower them as they are. I'm curious what I'll yield compared to the big trees.

On the flowering end of things they are starting to reach the end, but I think It's another 7-10 days. I looked at a bud under the microscope; still lots of clear trichs and new pistils appearing; I've been using cha-ching, 1/2 tsp per gallon; water only the last time. There's a little claw going on I don't like but these buds are going to be fine!

I have some weird coloring going on in my hempy cups. The lower leaves are yellowing and going almost purple on the edges. Ever seen it before?

I use fox farm, what nutes do you run?

I'm using fox farm hydro grow big in veg. also cal-mag. You got a pic up on your journal. I'll shoot over there.

no haven't got a pic of the problem yet. I know i burnt a few once, but gave a clean drink next time to help wash it out. That is where the yellowing came from, but now i notice those leaves turning like a purple, brown color. Is this normal for a dying leaf, or a sign of another problem?

I have been thinking of getting the cal-mag for awhile now. maybe i need to invest in some of that stuff.

Do you use RO water? If so, you need cal-mag. I'm not even going to get into the debate about tap water; my water burns plants even mixed half with RO. Your plant in the 2 liter bottle that you posted on the hempy collective looks like it has a mag deficiency too; intervenal chlorosis and necrotic patches on lower leaves. A quick fix is foliar feeding with epsom salts. Fixes mag def up right away.Your plants will become vigorous again.
