O.k. guys i got my hps today and relocated all my plants. I switched them around so that i can put a top on my box to keeep the light in. I got the flowering plant in a box outside of my grow box and im hoping i can keep it from getting any light.Also my damn light fell and fucked up the little plant thats why its bent like that. heres some pics so far.

Also i have another 4 foot shoplight im gonna put in the veg box. I also got a box of bulbs. They are cool white 40 watt. I would have used them before but i thought they were broke. Turns out it was just the bulbs and i can fix the plastic puiece that broke. Then i will have 160 watts for veg. It will be like a canopy of light. As soon as my lights turn on and warm up im gonna try to move the hps closer. I didnt have time to do it before my 12/12 started. Also i found out i can use mh bulbs in this. Up to 100 watts. So im gonna look into getting a mh bulb when i get some cash. I would love to get another one of these floodlights and use one for veg and one for flower. I definitely need to do something to keep the light in the veg box form getting out. I covered it with cardboard for the night but i need something more permanent.

I love me some tube flourescents for veg. I've had many a opportunity to change to halide, but just don't see the need. I use four 40 watt tubes for veg, but wouldn't ever consider it for anything else besides veg. HPS all the way on flowering, no doubt. Supplement with cf.......nah hell with that...just more HPS.

I agree but i had to start flowering with them cause thats all i had. I think they should be bigger. Hopefully it gets better now i have an hps.

Whats up Dr. Havent seen you in a few days. My girlfriend started them maybe middle of june maybe late june. I started them on flower about 3 weeks ago so........about a month and a week give or take a week.

I found out i need a fan on my light cause it gets pretty warm. I was rerunning all my wires so i can have the fan and the hps come on with the timer. I then realized there was a short in my flos. I took it apart and the wire was broken from the solder. I then realized I cant solder worth a damn. So i rewired my other fixture and I had to put the bulb in and bend the metal to hold the bulb in cause the plastics broke. I finally got the flo's set back up. I got some more pics. The first pic is the smallest one that was stretched real bad. I buried up to the leaves and its just starting to get over the shock. It grew a couple more leaves. My bigger one is filling in nicely. The third pic is the one that got wacked by the light. Its doing better with more growth.

ya man nice grow. wow fluorescents im an outsider but if fluorescents are working fine hmmmmmmm thats cheap too i know you can get a 400 600 and 1000 wattt hps lamp setup for at the most like 449.oo just call a plant shop that u know has one or call one u don't and just be like i need a store that sell grow lights for growing a vegetable garden lol oh i never tried stressing it would be a bad idea though you might produce more bud. also its gotta somewhat look smaller big key for outdoors or just hide well

O.k. Heres some new pics. They are all starting to come along. I decided to tie down my bigger one to make it bushy. Also take a look at my flowering plants. I think they should be farther along what do you think? They have been flowering for 3 weeks. Also is my light close enough? I threw in a pic with my hand to give a hint as to how far away it is. Enjoy.

Heres a little update on my light. I took my hps apart to check things out. When i got the light part of the ceramic around the socket was broke so i super glued it. This is probably bad huh? Oh well I didnt have time or money to get a new socket so I just put it to work. Anyways I drilled 6 holes in the top and 1 on each side. The 6 holes on top are where the ballast is screw down so hopefully this helps get some heat out of there. I also attached a wire box to the fixture so the wire caps werent all in your face. Also a little update on my plants. I am gonna let my taller one grow a little bit taller and im gonna top it and clone the top. Then i am gonna flower it to check the sex of the plant. If I clone sucessfully I will start cloning instead of germinating seeds. Wish me luck.

Nice flowers there! i just put mine into flowering about 8 days ago. i cant wait to see those flowers popping out!

Hey, good to see someone else from flint. Great job on those plants so far bro. I have learned a lot from your journal, I just started my first grow project a few days ago, hope it goes as good as yours.

I wish they would get bigger. I'm very impatient and I thought they were way behind. I took a real good look in between all the branches today i found a little bud about 3/4 the size of my pinky finger. I just moved my box and light and i think they are getting better light coverage now. I will put some new pics up tomorrow.

There is quite a few people from flint. I started a thread called michigan but nobody wanted to answer. I personally talked to like 3 people from flint. I dont know if every1 is paranoid to answer or what. I did get one guy to say michigan sucks ohio rules though. https://www.rollitup.org/toke-n-talk/24167-michigan.html. Heres a few pics. I was inspecting my plants today and my buds are starting to get sticky. Not to mention smelly. The leaves are nice and shiny with all the little crystals. Im excited. One of my smaller plants does have a problem though. The bottom half of the plant is turning yellow. Im pretty sure its because i gave them some mg plant food. Im not too worried about it. I'm not gonna feed them mg no more and if i do its gonna be watered down more. The other plants are doing well. The one I tied down is growing bushier by the day. O.k. enough talking heres the pics.

I have a little update. On 9/9 I took my largest veg plant and put it in the flowering box. Also on 9/10 i transplanted my small plant to a larger pot and transplanted a plant i started into the pot the other one came out of. So here are some pics of the new lineup. The last 2 are my flowers. The last pic has like 3 solid buds together that make the whole top like 1 big bud. The second from last has little clusters of buds everywhere. I'm thinking I will get more out of the solid one. Im hoping all the clusters on the other plant will start getting bigger soon. Hope you enjoy.
