I just do not see any advantage to 12/12 seed since a clone is mature you can 12-12 it from time roots form which is about 7 days and the thc quality will be much better and be a better plant and actaully quicker then 12/12 seed so time and size dont benefit you from 12/12 seed. Not sure what the positive could be from doing that

I personaly believe that if you flower immediatly you still get the plant to auto veg for root structure thats why some 8 week indicas take 10 weeks and grow tall and skinny. now for another point if you grow tall and skinny plants then the cfl will no longer be eficient for the job it looses to many foot candles on its way down to the lower branches. the plants would need an even canapy with more colas closer to the light for penitration.

All good thoughts. Seems more like a personal preference re 12/12 from seed rather than right or wrong. If I find a female, I will attempt to clone it, and grow the clones 12/12. I've been following some 12/12 from seed/clone journals and they produce good amounts of bud in a small amount of space. I'll have fun experimenting with it, and even try vegging for a week or so before going 12/12. Not a big deal if my space can accommodate it. Not for nothing, I think the 12/12 from seed plants are kinda cool looking.

It takes me a month or two to smoke a 1/4 oz. This is just a personal grow. If I grow 2 plants, and can get one full oz, I will be content. That much will last me for quite awhile, and allow plenty of time to grow a new crop before I run out.

Jaxon1080, do they sell those lamp fixtures you have at Home Depot?

Thought I'd post a pic of my balcony plant that got me started in this. I found one bagseed in my usual stuff. Planted it in a pot of miracle grow potting mix about the last week of February, and there it is. I recently started to add a little bit of miracle grow nutes since the 90 day supply in the potting mix should be pretty much exhausted by now. A couple of the old, large fan leaves have yellowed and are dying so I'm keeping an eye on it. It doesn't seem to be spreading to the rest of the plant - yet. Either way, this balcony beast is the inspiration for me going small and stealthy. It's drooping because today's watering day.

Still hasn't showed signs of sex yet.

Looks nice. On te 12 12 issue its a choice but as far as right and wrong if it got technical it is wrong since a mary jane plant isnt a full adult mature plant until 8 nodes in height so its kind of like that 12 year old girl who gets pregnant. it happens but the baby will have issues and may survive but its much more stressfull and usually has health issues as the mother was not fully developed herself. But Im not gonna say someone cant do it I just wouldnt do it..thats just me thought no offense to you who use 12/12 from seed though

Cool, thanks Jaxon. I'll be picking those up today or tomorrow. That plant is already too big for where it's at. I'd love to have a huge bud producing beast, but for now I need to be on the down low. Well, except for letting everyone online know about it :)

You make a good argument FF, but the 12/12 from seed should work well for my needs. There's plenty of folks on this site that have awesome, proven results - and without any adverse effects to their propagation. Thanks for your thoughts and advice.
