hey stoney, cacti are my favorite thing i suggest the recipe by mj shroomer at erowid, with a few changes. Use RO water, and add one lemon per pound of cactus. make sure to let it go for at least five hours, and I've had the best results adding extra water and cooking it over night. of course at the lowest possible setting and I'd use a gas burner if you can. I also cut out the core, as it seems inactive and seems to increase nausea. I find 3 lbs per person very intense and enjoyable

hope this helps. Extractions are not supposed to be that hard either, But they have been doing it this way for thousands of years and it works VERY well.

I made a tea of the seeds and drank it. 3 pounds should be fine to have around, I'd start with a little less, then,if nothing happened in an allotted time, I'd add more.
