Problems germinating seeds

Hi - i'm new here - looking for some help.

i've got a bunch of seeds that i've had germinating for 3 days now. a couple of them opened up and the stalky thing started to push through (that was on the first day), but now they seem to have gone back in. The one and only seed i've ever grown before had the green stalk thing sticking out about a centimetre before i put it into soil.

So i'm wondering if i waited too long to plant..? Any advice appreciated.

Way too long. There should be a white tap root that emerges from your seeds. You can plant them at any point you see them but I wait until they are a cm or two long or stop growing (i've had one stop short of a cm and it only took an extra day to pop over the others (that was turd) my guess is it was a good tough shell.

Even if only a few are ready, just plant them all. They all should come up sooner or later. You will wake up one day and see all of your little babies are out of the soil.

yeah I think it can halt germination for something like a week (taproot showing) but as soon as those taproots change color or retract im pretty sure they are done for.

for best results germinating beans use a cup of water and add two drops of hydrogen peroxide, then drop em in. they will sprout in 24 hrs or so.

i made sum lowryder seeds and sumtimes i have to manually crack open the seed after three days, then they start growing.

you probally just need to put em on something that generates a lil heat and they will start popping up in a day or 2

ya that is not too long, dont know where my mind was when i read that..sry.. ive germinated longer then that..lol.. mustve been stoned or something like that..hehe

remember the older the seed the longer and smaller the chances of germination.

but the hydrogen peroxide method works best and ive tried them all. heat matts paper towels all that.

i told it's the oxygen bubbles in the water that promotes quick germination.

i see, their were a few times where seeds germinated really fast for me and i realized each time i put the seeds in water w/a few drops of peroxide on a heat mat(in the dark of course) for 10-12 hours then into the jiffy cubes......

my taproot has just retracted. are you sure that means the seed is done for?
