cloning question?

I am in the middle of my first grow, and was hoping that because I did these first from seedlings, I want to start cloning as soon as possible. What is the earliest / how do you know the earliest point you can take a clone? Any special tips as well when doing it? Thanks for the help!

5 nodes high would be tall enough to take a cutting. check out the FAQ for the scaring method alot say do 2 nodes below the top one then take the bottom 2 nodes off then dip.
