Can it be done?

I have a space of 2'x3'x5' for my garden area. My question is this, can turn such a space into veg/flowering room? I have 2 6" inline fans pushing over 400 cfm each. My lighting consist of a 600w hps and 6 100w equivalent cfl with an output of 5000k. My main concern is heat issue, what do you think?:joint:

Thats a pretty tight space probably better for 1 maybe 2 medium size plants. Will this space be both veg/and flowering room???.As long as you have a cool hood and cold air intake you should be able to control heat issues.

It should work. Use one of the fans to exhaust the hot air out of your grow area, maybe into another room. If your grow area is a closet then exhaust the hot air out of your closet and into the room.

you have a small space so a good fan should be able to pull hot air out of your small space.

You could use your other fan to take in fresh air into your grow area.

better yet draw cool in to cool the bulb from outside. If your using the hot air from the grow room, your not cooling the bulb that much and still producing a ton of heat...

Yes this space would be both veg/ and flowering but im hoping to split it into to rooms one for veg and one for bloom. I would have my 600w in the bloom room and the 6 cfls in the veg room. I guess the true measurement for each room would be 1.5'x2'x5'. I really trying to make me a stealth micro grow with cloning capabilities... is this possible under my current plan?

If you are trying to do this stealthly it will bee really tuff. 2 rooms in this space will have heat isues ifu dont use fans and fans are noisy sso stealth is goi to e hard imo.

Ue the fans... You need the air flow. They are load, but air flow makes noise.

Have one fan push cool air in from the bottom and one pull hot air fro the top. If you still have heart problems then use a cool tube or sealed air cooled hood.

Grow Indica. Short plants are your freind. Or a "LowRyder" varity.

Use on or two mother plants and flower short clones. Keep your mommie short by pruning/training. Do the Clone to Flower move.

Plants stretch 2 to 3X their length during the first 2 - 3 weeks of flower.

Good luck.

I have a setup just a bit larger than yours. The veg side is 2'x2'x8' and the flower side is 3'x2'x8'. I pull cool air from an adjacent room though both reflectors using a 500 cfm inline fan. It keeps two 400 watters real cool. I also pull cool air with a 460 cfm inline fan to ventilate and cool both areas. Both fans exhaust through the attic, then out a vent in the roof. I usually only flower three plants at a time, but my last harvest gave me just under 13 OZ. So yes you can make it work, just flower fewer plants, and veg a little less time. Possibly consider a scrog setup.

wow really beautiful. I was also wondering if anyone knows how to make my fans silent? I was thinking of building a box lined with foam and then putting my fans inside the box. What do you think?bongsmilie

If your in a house, the best way to mute the fans is to mount them in the attic. If your in an apartment, or don't have attic access, you can try and build some type of surround for them. The biggest problem there would be, your taking up valuable space from your limited grow area.
Any way you go about it, you will never have complete silence. The majority of the noise comes from the movement of air through the ducting (the whooshing sound), not from the actual mechanics of the fan.
