Hello fellow pot growers, how do you do? I'm growing my second grow now and i'm using 6 four ft. flourescent bulbs 40 watts a piece and 3000 lumens a piece. Is this enough light? any suggestions without breaking the bank for a hps light? thanks :joint:

These are T12 fluorescents you're using and honestly they'll work well for about 8-10 inches and then you're going to get lacking much taler than that unless you flip them and run them vertical. They have $25 HPS lights that run 150w. You can find them online. Econolight I think is the brand.

depends on how many plants
agreed.

For three maybe four plants you'll be able to go all the way through veg np...when it's time to flower buy warm white cfls to augment the side growths...maybe replace a few tubes with warm white tubes.

Fluorescents are efficient enough for growth they just don't penetrate the plant enough which is why people "blanket" their plants in cfls.

Gotta have a hps imo. I did the first grow with T12's then I spent $100 on a 400w hps on ebay and it doesn't even compare. I see shop style hps lights on craigslist all the time. Looks like your reppin the 313 , just happens to be my neck of the woods and on craigslist right now is there are a shitload of them. Just search (grow light) or (hps) or (sodium). You will be glad you did.
