Hi Im new here,
I just need a quick answer
For Newly Sprouted Plants about 2 weeks old:

What is more effective?
12/12 light 18/6 or permanently on?

(light is not florescent, its a heating light)

Do they need darkness?

theyr looking very healthy but what lighting would give best results/ quicker harvest?

i'm a new grower as well, it depends on your set up on what lights you need
and also you cant speed up growth for harvesting .

i dont know what seed you got but usually 8 - 10 weeks indica 10-14 weeks sativa it will e ready when the trich are.

during the vegative stage of growing 18/6 has been quite well proven to be the best schedule,

switch to 12/12 when you are ready to flower

harvest after 8/12 weeks when the trichomes are a mixture of clear/cloudy/ amber

you use mh lamps or blue spectrum cfl's to veg with and hps or red spectrum cfl's to flower,

best results usually come from mh veg and hps flower allthough cfl's are very effective and i actually use cfl's to veg with and a mixture of hps and cfl to flower,

18/6 or 24/7 for veg stage and veg for 30days or more pending on your grow room size to get a decent plant size of a decent yeilds. just remembr that when put in 12/12 the plant will double and sometimes triple in size.
