Whats up guys.I currently have an ebb and flow system that i constructed very crudely,but worked very well.I now have some money to spend and bought a mixing tray from home depot.The bottom is completely flat.I put two bulk head fittings in it,however the fittings stick up 1/8" above the bottom of the tubI(I put rubber on the bottom of tub).When i put the screen on theres another 1/16".So now i have water puddeling on the bottom.Does anyone have a quick fix idea?I was think of just putting a layer of peagravel down just to act as a barrier between roots and the little bit that puddles.Or will that little bit of water actually hurt anything at all?Any help is greatly appreciated.Here is a pic

how about a layer of screen over the pea gravel.
I just need to know if the sitting water is going to create problems for me or will the plants be able to absorb the puddle?

Ya know i posted this question/any ideas almost a week ago.31 people have viewed this question/any ideas.Is everyone that fucking high when they looked at my question they couldnt answer?that would explain alot, or have i done something to affend someone?I dont understand whats so hard about leaving a little input,right now good or bad is welcome.I thought this site is set up to ask questions?I ask questions and I get no responce.C'mon,out of 31 people nobody knows nothing?

maybe its ur attitude...or that those 31 people didnt know what to answer ur question with, maybe they are just as new as you buddy. think about that next time. and really, i was almost tempted not to answer. but im a nice person. id suggest getting a pvc saw from lowes or home depot and cutting the extra off, get some pvc glue and primer and seal the hole afterwards.

Your design sucks and it doesn't drain. Redesign and put both holes on an edge so that if they plug or ? .... you can get to them to clean them out.

Use a ball peen hammer and hammer out a depression to seat your fittings in.

And do ya know what the real pisser is ,all it took to fix the problem was a 15/32 drill bit right next to the pump fitting and poof no more water.
See now was that so hard. Granted all it is,is one little drilled hole,but it lets out all remaining water in the tub.
So in two weeks i get no replies
in two weeks i get its my attitude
in two weeks i got its a piss poor design
No my friends its one little hole.Fixed everything.
So the next time you look at someones question stop trying to tear it apart and look to see what kind of attitude or demeanor he/she has and instead help them.that goes for neoanarchist and orzz.See a simple fix for a simple question.

First off JACKOFF as i said before what the fuck am i going to cut, the bulk head fittings i am using have on the drain side a plastic screen the overflow has two extender pieces on it also with a plastic screen.im not going to cut something that is already sectioned,Meaning my overflow can be 2" or 4".The picture happens to show both pieces on the overflow.And then you want me to seal the hole makes no sense.So no you fucking moron you didnt answer my question,second i admit I tried to over think the problem but still did not mean i wasnt looking for ideas.A friend of mine suggested it,hey look someone offered an idea To bad it wasnt from you.My statement still stands as before.And further more You can take your "piss poor" excuses and blow them out your ass,And believe me If you ever thought that you ever had the slightest inclination you were man enough to get out from behind your little desk and think about punching me in the mouth,Bring it BITCH. You know I came to this site because what i had read in my google searches were 75% roll it up forum.I figured hey i can fine tune my skills a little from an avid outdoor grower to a more stealthy operation.So far I asked questions (like your supposed to do on this web site or so i thought) and have been met with everything but help.It seems i dont know the secret password.My attitude is from doing as much research on this subject still having questions and then told I didnt do my research.Every problem associated with indoor growing is unique to every individual.My problemm in hind site was a little simple.But havent you had to wright something down to figure it out?If not your a better man than I.I have had other more serious questions on growing,my plants got sick thats all i could tell you at the time.I entered all the qualifying info and then some and noone helped.noone left even an idea just a footprint on the view counter.It took me catching an attitude to get a responce,And here again i prove the only way to get a responce sofar good or bad is to go what the fuck.Im sorry neoanarchist wants to brake bad or something like that but i call em like i see em.Im just trying to grow good pot and everyone wants to keep it secret (at least from me.Still dont know the secret password)I did 4 months of research before i ever lit the 400 watt for the first time.Dont tell me im just another band wagon jumper,That i just want somebody to tell me what to do.I have grown outside for a long time.Im tired of 7-8 month growing periods and only being able to keep 2 plants at most because of prying neihbors. I have moved my grow inside and had my share of mishaps (only cause noone answered my questions or offered an idea.I didnt take neoanarchist advise because not only does he think he knows what he is talking about but hes a psychiatrist too,he'll tell you about your attitude and give advise.Wow! all this from one person.So for everyone looking on Im not a dick, I just dont like When people assume you havent done anything to research the problem because you have a simple question.Some of the greatest minds in the world could barely tie there shoes but could tell you the speed of light around uranus 3 times cubed divided by,well you get the picture. if the flood table has a puddle in it why whould that be a problem? Its just going to flood again and again and again every few min. The roots absorb the o2 mixed water not dry out...i don't see a problem but then again im just a verbal grower. But If it was me I would take the time and sit back to see the correction to your problem for the next build. good luck

Those tubs are cheapos. Build your table with little center support. The tub will deflect downwards.

I know they are not the best but it is the only tub that will fit into the space of 2.5'x3.5'.I have looked around for a good grow tray but none my size.Do you know where i can find one?
