:wall: Ok, this might be stupid to some but Im new to this site and I really dig it alot!! Problem is I dont have alot of time during this time of year to sit and find a couple of EXPERIENCED growers to become friends, improve skills, and share laughs with. I LOVE TO GROW !!! Right now Im working with some of the "white strains", overall doing good, but need to get some kinks out to better my set-up. If you have some time to help me figure this site out, but most of all my grow, drop me a line. :weed:

Ok, Ive been growing for years now but mostly outdoor until I recently bought my own place. Ive been bettering my set-up every chance I get and its working fairly good right now. Let me get you up to speed on what Im doing. My room is 6.5 x 6.5 x 7 with one 600w HPS extended spec. and one 1000w HPS ext. spec. bulbs with a 8" inline 250cfm sucking exhaust through to cool them. Also have a 8" inline for intake. My room is in an attic so I have to use a A/C unit in summer and a heater with humidifier in the winter. Ive got a groclone that I use to root with and they go into Pro-Mix,perlite,dolomitic lime mixture for the medium. They are in 3gal. pots when ready, switched at @ 18"-24". So a couple years ago now I grabbed some babies from my outdoor Hawaiian Maui Waui girls and ran that strain until recently I started the switch to ICE and PPP. Heres where the shit in my brain cleared for a second so I could see the light!! Now Im on it !! Ok, let me get to the worst thing that has happened to date,(except for being impatient in the beginning and drownding the poor girls!!) my over abundance of ladybugs went on vacation and now a bunch of those DAMN pot chewing little bastards moved in and with me never having to deal with them before... I let them get out of control before I noticed!! Now, my girls are suffering and I cant get any babies to take root ! I have been using a spray that kills the white rice looking bugs and some mites, but there is still a lot of eggs and some mites all over the leaves. They really have done some damage here! well in mypast experance if you have mites and trying to clone or your clones get mites for get it there done be4 they even get started. ya that suck them litle basterds are the deval to a plant. try to controle them first b4 you do anything.

I took out some of the mothers and sprayed them really good with some ecosence insecticidal spray and it killed alot of them but there are still alot of eggs and more little mites. I think I got most of the thrips, think I should buy some kind of fogger, then wash the leaves with a sponge and soapy water?? Or maybe just a wipe down of the leaves??

i haven'therd much on the foger. im not sure what type of hydro store you have around you.this is the stuff i found that works great.

Try diatomaceous earth. Google it,.. my local nursery sells a 5 pound bag for $10,.. it's labeled as insect dust, but a lot of places carry it as diatomaceous earth. It's so benign and works so well on parasites that there's a food grade version for people to consume.

Wear a dust mask when applying it and try to hit the mites directly. I'd do it outside. Use a baby powder type applicator,.. Mites usually go to the soil to breed etc,.. put a thin layer on the soil as well. It's good for your plants,.. has trace elements. It's also good for applying to cats n dogs, to kill mites and ticks.

I haven't used those liquid oil sprays that stress out and half kill your plants since I discovered it.

Some mites go to the soil,.. if you spider mites, they may stay in the plant. Again,.. I'd partially fog them with dust, trying to hit the mites.. outside,. and don't do it without a dust mask. Inhale enough dust and it'll irritate your throat and lungs

Nice!!! your right, the spray did mess with the foliage on some. I cant wait to dust out those @#$@#$%#^'s !!!! I bet you get some coments on that set!!LOL!

yeah,.. after the mites are gone,.. Give em a good rinse with a mister when they're dry. You'll want to rinse off the dead mites as well. The worst things that could happen by not rinsing is that it drys your leaves out a little, and you get dead mites in your smoke.. don't underwater while they're dusted,.. and you shouldn't leave it on there for more than a week or less.

that might be where I went wrong before! The spray I used has the same ingredients as stuff you showed me, I srayed them really good and it killed all the thrips and alot of the mites but it didnt seem to do much to the eggs and they hatched out and are crazy now!! For the last 3 or 4 years I have had an over abundence of ladybugs and didnt have any problems with pest at all. I didnt even know they were helping me!! I just figured to hell with them, let them hang out, not hurting anything. Wish they were here now!!!! Im going to try the dusting and Im fogging the whole house while they are outside. DIE @#$%^*'S DIE!!!

the thing with lady bugs is that when allthe mites are gone the lady bugs leave, unless you have a well screened in grow room so they can not get out.:hump:

yea. my shop doesnt sell ladybugs anymore... i went up tehre a few weeks ago when i had a gnat problem.. and he gave me 2 bags of 1500 for free. since they had them for 4 months haha... out of 3000 ladysbugs.. mayb 3 lived, but died... so they decided not to buy them anymroe since they dont get to the shop in good conditon.... whats the fogg your talking about??
