A POSSIBLE METHOD 2 INCREASE BUDDING!x

what is your opinion on the idea kalikit?? i know you have one;-)....
i personally dont think it will work, but it does make enough sense on paper to warrant an experiment... the main problem i see being that there is really no place on a given plant to pack more calyxes than the cannabis plant already does... they seem pretty efficient at space utilization
My thought is mainly that picking off the flowers won't increase the production of flowers. Mainly plants have that behavior with fruit, like tomato and peppers. You pick them off right before they're ripe and the plant produces more flowers so more fruit is produced.

If you're going by that theory, it's likely you'd have to actually wait for the bud to be fertilized, then pick the flowers before the seed had a chance to mature. No thanks. :D Once you get pollen in the air it's a bitch to control. Also, yes gogrow, the space for a calyx to form is pretty small as it is. I'd say the only thing one could really hope to do is force larger calyxes, or if looking for potency over weight add UVB lamps.

I'd stick with supercropping and a DWC or Aero system for yield. Combine with some proper UVB lighting during flowering and you can have a great amount of some of the most killer smoke.

If FIMming works, then why wouldnt this work in theory? I mean, if you cut off 80-90% of what would eventually become a budsite, it multiplies, no topping required. Apply same procedure at the beginning stages of flower, i dont see why it wouldnt work the same way... Im not saying im willing to try it, lol, im just saying why not??

thanks for answering me bro... but i was under the assumption that the fruit makes the seeds, and since cannabis is a dioecious plant, wouldnt that put the male making the flower, and the bud being the fruit???

still yet, i dont see anywhere cannabis could pack more bud into its limited space.... would be kinda cool if it resulted in something unexpected such as shortening the node spacing though:-P

The strange thing for pot is that the actual flowering body is what gets smoked - the calyx. It's not quite a fruit yet until it has been pollinated and starts to produce seed. We don't want the ripe fruit (unless you're breeding,) we want the unripened fruit covered with ripened trichomes. Not many people purposely go after unripened fruit, which is again what makes pot very unique in a sense.

Now that I re-read the original question, I'm wondering if he's talking about getting a herm, and start pinching off the male pollen sacs in order to allow for more female flower production. That would make sense as there'd be more energy to flower production, instead of seed production once the pollen sacs would open and fertilize the plant.

hello im a newbie to growing but im doing pretty good so far!but i have a question my plant has 8 sets of leaves and each leaf has a set of 5 not seven like a female...so i hear.my question is why is there more leaves starting to grow on the main petiole????Is this a male or female?and do males produce any buds what so ever?PLEASE HELP!
what kind of lights ya using as the plant looks to be skinny with too much branch length (stretching). witch is not good as it may fall over and be weak.
and with taller plants it takes longer to get nutrients up as they have longer way to travel and u dont want wasted energy going to stems/branches rather you want it going to the leaves and later on the buds(if its a female plant)

good educated guess but i actually mean a regular female plant with pre-flowers. cutting fresh flowers(1 day old flowers) may trigger 3times the flowers in the original bud sites the flower was plucked from
