I came up with a compromise about the CFL by putting them on there own timer and have them turn OFF 2 hours before the HPS 400 to kill the glowdamn tom thats crazy man...maybe its the bulbs you are using?!? Try a different namebrand from a different store, cause when i was growing with cfl's,when i turned them off,,,they were off and it was pitch black in the room,,i was also using the 150w. replacements.
yea that would work...it takes 2 hours for them to stop glowing???man thats too long,,,something is wrong somewhere!I came up with a compromise about the CFL by putting them on there own timer and have them turn OFF 2 hours before the HPS 400 to kill the glow
you shouldnt have any probs doing it like that,,,but it looks like nuteburn to me,,,i dont think that the glow would make the leaves turn yellow?droopy,or lettucy,i can see,,but not yellow spots...id flush and replenish.....or hows it going since the timer is set on the cfl's?they lookin better?cause id like to be proved wrong on this one.
Tom, that's just crazy. Do you have some specialty cfl bulb? Not only do I use them in my grow, I use them all over the house and at my business and have been for 3-4 years straight. I have several outdoors that are in motion detector fixtures that turn on & off automatically. I must have 15-20 various cfl's in various fixtures and NEVER have I had even one glow after it's turned off. Very strange indeed.Dude I made it clear EVEN on the bench OUT OF THE SOCKET they still glowed, check the thread
