Basically have 2 tubs (rubbermaid, clear shoebox ones) that are my "beta" dwc tubs.

They have algae, so they are definitely moving into their new homes tomorrow.

So what do I need to do now to fix the problem? I dumped a pretty decent amount of h2o2 in there (hopefully my shit doesn't die before I get to the hydro shop tomorrow).

They get new water, new nutes, new tubs, and new hosing tomorrow. I need to disinfect the airstones I assume; anybody have a recommendation here?

Anything else I should know?

Bleach the shit and rinse really good. Don't worry about it till tommorrow.. Make sure you paint or tape the outside of the new containers..

oh and run the airstones in water for a few min after the bleach to remove it. A little bit of bleach can kill you plants easily.

Thanks for the suggestion on bleach.

New tubs are blue so no need to worry about light this time (i hope)

Home Depot sells the most legit tubs for DWC. They are black and super sturdy, I was having problems with a lot other buckets bulging and the top not fitting quite right, they're only $10 too which is way cheaper than anywhere else I've seen for the quality.

Those are great tubs you are talking about...As much as I like the black tubs, I do my 5 gallon camo buckets also. I laughed going home thinking about camo around my plants...hahaha I was looking at Wal-Mart one day and found them...I thought they would look pretty cool...
