High wattage CFL's

Anyone ever use CFL's in this wattage range and how were they?
85W COMPACT FLUORESCENT 5000K

That thing would be great to veg. But the color temp is way off.
5500-6200k is better.

I went out on a limb and bought one of these 200 Watt FLUORESCENT PLANT GROW LIGHT T5 CFL FIXTURE mh - (eBay item 260131019282 end time Sep-19-07 09:30:57 PDT) . My Plants only 4 weeks into flowering so im interested to see what the end product will be.

It should, most CFLs are retrofitted to replace incandescent lights

This one is a 5500k 4 pack for $95.
At 300 watts a piece, would 4 of them say replace a 400watt hps?

you want to replace an HPS with CFL's? why?

Hey..
Don't want to replace them, just want to have 2 easay setups. I have my mh/hps conv setup but want a separate veggin station that will have strong lighting on the cheap

Those are actually 85w's apeice, 400w equivilant, plus they are the wrong kelvin to replace a hps.
