The Vertical Greenhouse! (Outdoor + 600 Watt hps!)

Hello all, new here, looking to get some feedback on our first grow! It's a greenhouse utilizing vertical racks and a 600 watt hps. The daily growth is rediculous.. Any ideas on things to improve with a budget in mind would be much appreciated.
Outside View!

It ain't too fancy, but sure does the trick!

The big ones on the bottom, small ones in the middle, and medium ones on top!

All plants vegged for ~ 1 week then switched to 12/12, pics are of day 7 of the switch. Strains include: WW, Lavender, & GDP. The clones were not in the best condition when we received them, but I think they're coming along pretty well now

Stop by the journal for weekly updates as well if you'd like. Any and all feedback welcome, we're very curious if anyone else has run a similar setup, or what you guys think of it! :)

Well, I've never seen anything like that before. I'm sure the growth is ridiculous!

How do you do 12/12 in a greenhouse?

We simply kick the light off and cover the entire greenhouse in 6 mill black plastic, and uncover the next morning and kick the light on. It's a pain sometimes, but should be well worth it.. I hope.

Yeah, I guess that would be the way! :D I'm sure it's gonna be worth it!

Do you have any more starting now for a second harvest when these are done? Or do you go perpetually in the greenhouse?

Nah, none started as we plan on changing locations after this grow, and we're limited by an extremely tight budget for now. Everything in this grow was done with a budget under 1k.
I wish I had any way of even taking a guesstimate at potential yields, but we're pretty clueless at this point, being our first shot at it and all. :) I simply hope to really pimp this thing out on the next go-round, I know it has huge potential. :joint:

yea thats pretty crazy i've never seen that either, probably get a lot of fast growth with some pretty big plants. if it was me i would top them, and try to train them ,because with all that extra light that green house is going to turn in to the amazon jungle.i'd also rearrange them from biggest on the bottom to smallest on the top,i'd just be worried the small ones will get snuffed out by the big ones on the bottom, but keep us posted im intersted to see how this turns out~hydro

Yeah the growth is very very fast, we're extremely pleased with how things are going so far. We will definitely try out some training the next round as well as convert it to hydro, we really just wanted to keep it as simple as possible for now since it's our first time and all. The big ones are starting to get up there real fast, so we will either have to give them a more dramatic angle or rearrange them better like you say. :) Thanks for stopping by!bongsmilie

By the way, anyone think 2 ounces a plant is unrealistic considering the short veg time? We originally hoped for 1 per on the decent sized ones(top n bottom of racks) but at the rate they're going I'm not sure.

with that set up i wouldn't be supprised if 2oz. was a minumum per plant. with tha vigours growth and extra light you should get some little top heavy monsters.man if you went with hydro ,can you say one hitter quiter??lol.in my own experience sun light makes plants have a completly different high, then mixed in with the extra light you should have some very kind budsky .but good luck il be posted

Haha, I'm sure Angus was merely kidding, especially considering these plants only had ~ 1 week veg. But 2 oz's per would be wonderful, and 3 per would be.. well.. freaking awesome! :eyesmoke:

Thanks for all the kind words guys, plants are looking sexy as hell in their 2nd week of flowering, updates with pics hopefully coming tomorrow in the journal.

No I wasn't kidding, I was just being a dumbass.

For some reason I thought I was posting in this thread:

Hardly similar but I have more tabs open than Carter's got liver pills.

you could prolly pull 3 oz per plant with the light and the sun mix! and it also depends on the nutes, molasses, and training!!! take all that in to consideration and you could have some dense chrondo!!

Yeah man, I just checked it out. You weren't lying that growth is CRAZY. So they are at two weeks of 12/12 now?

Yep yep! Really hope we do hit 2 or 3 oz per plant, but we'll see. I think so long as we make it to harvest, regardless of yield results, we'll do okay for our first time. Very pleased with everything so far. bongsmilie I've already got ideas runnin' through my head on how to make the next run way more efficient though!
