growing a plant forever?

say i grew a marijuana plant, and then flowered it.

is there a way i could pull the buds off but keep it still growing, or would it die?

im just wondering if it is possible to grow a plant forever, and still get buds off of it.

take off all the buddies on top..and most of the top leaves..leave the bottom of the plant..throw it back on 18/6..it might take a lil time..but the buddies that are left will shrink back to little funny looking leafs and everything on top should start to grow new shoots again...and it will reveg itself...

Is this a good idea or would it just be better to start the process all over again?

It can cause the plant to stress so hard that it can turn into a hermi. It's best to start all over. It will save you alot of time.

If you left it in flower it would be like any plant in flower. After a while the flower just falls off or dies where it is. In the case of a Bud the Thc in the flower goes dead and is useless. No mo High. Then the flower, hmm well I don't know never let a flower just sit?
