Res temps?

Just curious whats the optimal temp for the water in the res. and the effective temp range for the res? (low end-High end)

^^^ seems like a good range to try for, if you can stay below 74 you should be ok... if you are using a system where roots aren't submerged, ie: f&d you could prolly get away with 70+ and be ok... but like lb said below 68 and you're golden, much more o2 in the water, less chance of root rot, blah blah blah...:peace:

Here how the equation works.

Lower temps "around 60" slows the nutrient uptake process. Higher temps speed the process up a bit.

Lower temps allow for more oxygen in the water, higher temps have less

Lower temps inhibit bacteria growth, higher temps encourage bacteria.

All in all.... Stay below 70 and you are rockin.
