to flush or not to flush, that is the question

I seem to have gotten a little carried away with the plant food and a few of the bottom leaves are slightly yellowing. It doesn't appear to be very serious but i'm a first timer so none the less I am concerned. Plants are in soil, veg cycle and about 4-5 weeks old and about 18-24" in height. I am planning on switching to 12/12 cycle in approximately one week. They are growing like crazy just a few of the bottom leaves are yellowing. My question is should I flush them or let them be and just lay off the nutes for the next couple waterings? Any input is appreciated.

I flush just before going into 12/12, then hit em' w/full 1-5-5 Alaskan Fish and full bloom nutes in pH'd water (6.5/soil). They seem to like this.
That said, as long as the yellowing doesn't spread, you can do nothing.
Your older growth shouldn't show burn signs in this case, as the new growth is what's drinking any fert overage.
Depending on your lights, it could be just not enough to keep the lowest growth lush and green.
I wouldn't worry about it.

I thought that maybe it could be a lack of light also. I have been hittin them kinda hard with the fertilizer also so I wasn't sure which it was. I'll just hold off on the next watering and see if they seem to get any worse. Thanks for the info.

it's normal for the bottom leaves to yellow up, becomes a problem if your whole plant yellows up...try not to over feed it. Flush it and go back to regular feeding...just to be on the safe side..it wont hurt your plant at all. Good Luck dude! :leaf:
