You're not exactly the smartest kid around are you?

My first piece of advice is this, We are not here to spoonfeed you everything. Check the GrowFAQ/newbies section/ENTIRE SITE for information you need..or google it.

You'll get caught if you leave a window open blowing air onto your plant because people will see the light.... plus when your plant goes into flowering it'll smell.

Research before you even think about growing..

cmon guys hes got 28 posts and wants to learn how to do it indoors. what is this site here for anyways?

snortkill, read up in the 'new to growing marijuana' section. it will give you a detailed rundown of everything. But since you posted i will answer with some quick replies.

first, the plants arent going to get enough light sitting indoors by a window. you will need some sort of High Intensity Discharge (HID) light to keep your plant up to speed. if it is in the early stages of growth, like a few weeks after you planted the seedling, go ahead and just use some CFLs (those spiral energy efficient lights) around the plant. Keep them on at least 16 hrs of the day. You should get what should add up to at least 100w of power being used by the CFL's, NOT the amount that it has advertised on the box which is how much it puts out COMPARED to incandescents. When the plant is older than that, get an HID (like High Pressure Sodium (HPS) or Metal Halide (MH)) that is at least around 400w for the rest of the plants life. when the plant is as tall as you would like it to be, turn the lights on for 12 hrs and off for 12 consecutive hrs. You should get an automatic timer for this. Also, keep a fan blowing on the plants at all times and water them with about 200ml of water everyday for the first few weeks, then 300ml every other day when flowering starts (it really depends on the size of your container and plant). well thats it in a nutshell. good luck!

Yes but wuth that window open your going to have problems controlling your light .... For just one small closet plant you could just do a 250w hps or MH or both (MH for veg and HPS for flowering) and just set the fan in there with it make sure your room gets fresh air everyday you will be fine. If you really wanted to you could just use a couple of cfl's (Compact flourescent lights) to try it the first time. if you have good luck upgrade to the bigger light.

get a 250w hps, youd rele want a hid light (hps or mh) if youv only got one plant, cos it just wont be worth it doing it with cfls.
and as for all the negative comments, its not really fair, everyone has to start somewhere...

dont worry bro, some people think that they know everything, when there is someone else who knows too much more than them. If you could confine your two plants to a smaller space you might be better off. 150 hps for 2 plants is fine. I know its annoying to buy a ballast reflector bulb all that, but when you have it set up, the plants will grow REAL nice, short, and dense buds

urm, it depends where you are, if ur in the uk, for a 250w hps you can get the whole lot for around £80-90, ballast nd reflector and bulb.
but if ur in america then htgsupply is good, but you can get some great bargains on ebay if you spend a while looking.

as for the cfl comment duplex, i didnt mention anything about node spacing, i agree with you that cfls are amazing for the vegative stage, but theyre not great for flowering. true, it can be done, but for two plants, i do think a hps would give much better results, imho.
