Any ideas to get temps down?

I just got a decent portable AC hooked up in the room because the temps are going a little over 90s on hot days. I have a pretty big fan that pushes pretty hot fresh air from outside my tarped room into it. My exhaust is also usually on 24/7. I left the AC on for a few hours today and it didn't seem to help. I'm thinking the fan bringing air in the room is just bringing in too much hot air for the AC to cool it down. Do you think it would be smart to turn the fan off during the day, or the exhaust? Maybe both?

You have a separate exhaust fan as well as a your AC exhausting out of the room ? If yes maybe kill the secondary exhaust and/or put the intake fan on a timer, ie on for a certain amount of minutes each hour

Ya, I have a pretty big fan attached to carbon filter as the main exhaust...I need the portable AC to exhaust somewhere so that is as well...My intake fan is a pretty big fan that needs to be attached to wall from the outside, so I have that fan blowing fresh air in the room through a pretty big hole (about 1 1/2 ft X 1 1/2). This fan is pretty heavy duty so it's also being used as the main circulation fan
