i was thinkin of tiein em out in a couple days or so, let em get a little bigger.
With indica dom' plants like yours the branches are no doubt thick as...
So you don't want to try and do your LST all at once.
Progressive LST is the way.
Start now by just pointing them in the right direction

well fem. seeds and no signs of balls yet so, im hopeing, the only stress they really had was being turned 12/12 early, and i think barneys farm has a good rep. about fem seeds, but i guess they could be hermies:-|

sigh.... how old were they again when you switched?? heat/humidity stress can cause hermies or a greater likelihood of males, so its really good you got that taken care of..... do you have extra seed stock just in case? 1000W for only one of those plants would be way overkill... heres to hoping they are all three lovely ladies....:joint::peace:

so you've been on 12/12 for three weeks and still no sign of sex? No preflowers? Maybe full veg a little longer would have been better?

On some strains the sex will not reveal itself until week 5 of veg.
If these plants have had only 21 days of veg + 21 days of 12/12 then I don't think it's that unusual for them to not have shown sex yet.
Sure they are 6 weeks old, but they haven't had the 'ideal' amount of veg time, so their schedule is still coming to terms with being forced into early flowering.
Basically these plants aren't living a normal existence so signs of sex will take longer.
No different though from putting a seedling outside in the middle of Autumn when the days are shorter which is basically the same thing.
I have found that when a plants is put into 12/12 earlier than ideal they will take longer to start budding because the plant still wants to veg, and will do, for the first 3 - 4 weeks of 12/12, before they fully settle into flowering mode.
I would expect to see sex and pre flowers within the the next 2 weeks but maybe not until then. Plus all strains are different.
These are also plants with a 10 week flowering period, and plants only really get into serious budding for the last 4 - 5 weeks of their flowering period.

As long as the plants look happy and healthy, and are full of vigor, which they do, I wouldn't be to worried.

Already knew... thanks though...lol..... That's exactly the point I was making in my post. I was suggesting that a full vegetative cycle would have been better for his plants.

One thing that you forgot though. It also increases the chance of hermies.

12/12 from seed does but three weeks of veg' won't increase chances.
These plants aren't under stress, they're healthy as...and always have been.
They've just been manipulated into growing with a short veg time, that's all.

If they hermie it will be from genetics not 3 weeks of veg'.

dude, your talking plant hormones.......
Is Cannabis a plant...?

Sorry, I'm just fuck'n around.

But that's the point, It's a plant, a very simple creature.

I understand what your saying Loaded, vegetative growth is an important part of a plants health and happiness, and natures way. It needs it, and I agree with that.

Putting plants into early flowering without any form of vegetation is gonna get you into trouble with natural growth cycles.

But a shorter vegetation period than 'nature normal' is merely a form of training and manipulation of the natural growth cycle. The plant still gets a veg cycle, just a shorter version, and it cause little stress. All it causes is smaller plants.

+ Fem seeds have percentage of hermie in their genetics...
+MJ likes to hermie anyway at some point in it's growth because it's a weed...

I really would like to discuss this further in a thread devoted to the topic.
I love this grow of Bubloni's and don't want to hijack his journal.

Maybe we should start another.
It should be titled
" Does a Short Vegatation period, Increase the Chance of Hermies?"
What do you reckon Loaded?

im interested in how much you yield on average from starting flower so early... I have a couple plants here and i have to be careful of how tall they get. Tomorrow will be exactly 3 weeks of veg, and youve said you had done this many times so i was jw... thanks bro

only got about 5 grows under my belt over all, only 1 of those harvest have been any good(not bomb).....i really have approached growing like a bafoon but i see thing getting better:joint: so i dunno what this will bring, conditons are much better than last time so i can assume my harvest will be better too. but to try and answer your question my last G13 that was about 17" put out about 1-1/2oz, that was the same with the Power Africa and both were cut what i would call early.

WEEK 5 ALIVE/14 days flower
alright so today is day 14 flower and all three are showing signs of sex and ALL 3 are girls, i know that dosent mean they wont eventually go hermi like my OrangeBud, i will keep a close eye this time and rip of its balls while they form so i dont get seeds:joint::spew:and i think i figured out my temp pattern, it seems that for the first 7-8 hours of the lights on period temps stay between 77-79 and for the last 4-5 hours they raise to about 79-81, i think thats perfect since there in the ideal temps for most of the lights on time and even when its "hot"its still not to bad:blsmoke:ejoy pics of week 2 flowering:leaf::leaf::leaf:
