salvia is legal. :-| hmmmmmmmm, i'm not seeing the humor.
I wasn't addressing salvia. I was addressing the fact that a debate was going on concerning whether legal bud bought online can cause anything other than a placebo high. I know very little about salvia and haven't tried it, so what's your point?

Can legal bud get you 'high'? It depends on your definition of high. I smoke real buds and they contain identifiable substances that alter my brain chemistry temporarily and get me 'high'. Legal buds contain none of these identifiable substances (hence, they're legal) and so, IN MY OPINION, they cannot get anyone 'high'. Can these legal buds alter your homeostatic state? Maybe, but that does not mean that you're high (and remember, by 'high' I mean the state I'm in after I smoke buds with THC). Am I insulting you for smoking legal buds - NO! Do i think they get you high - NO! That's all I said.

I'm sorry if you're precious sensitivities were offended by my analogy which stated the this debate of whether or not legal buds attain the same high as real weed is as silly as debating whether the boogeyman exists, but I still stick with my claim. Either way, that's all I have to offer:bigjoint:

from the legal "bud" ive tried and heard about. most of it is pretty weak and mostly a rip off. by legal "bud" i mean the ones where they try and make it look like weed to sell more of it.

that being said there are legal smoking alternatives that do work very similar to weed. the problem is that most people dont know the difference and often associate all legal buds together and come up with the assumption that none of them work.

i went to catholic school for 4 years and was randomly drug tested at least once a year. because of this many of the students tried just about every legal alternative there is. i had friends that would drive to mississippi and get salvia. eventually we found spice. spice is an smoking blend. you can get it online at various places. Everyonedoesit.com carries it. i personally have smoked all 3 of the spice blends as well as a couple other similar products(xxx chillin). All three of these got me pretty damn high on multiple occasions. i know atleast 50-60 other people that smoke them and get high.

now people are gunna tell me im full of shit and that legal buds dont work. bullshit like "you have to drink it" or "legal buds dont have thc so they cant work". they can say it all they want but it just shows you that they dont know what they are talking about because they obviously have not tried all the different alternatives out there. they order a shitty rip off of a scam site and get pissed when it doesnt work. then they just assume that all legal buds suck.

come on people do a little research before you completely start trashing things. spice and other products like it are out there and they do work very well. although the high may not be the same as weed it is similar and a much safer alternative for people who get drug tested at work.

everyonedoesit.com has a pretty good forum for legal smokes. lots of good information on what works and what it makes you feel. i strongly suggest you buy a pack of the spice diamond just to try out. the only problem i found with it is the terrible taste but its a minor inconvenience if you cant smoke pot.
Too true icepik, good post. My local headshop caries all of these products except the international oddities range. But alas they've recently clamped down on some of these products including Smoke( This was my favorite)
but fortunately there's a new one called smoke xxx. If you guys are looking for legal alternatives you should check out the irish headstores. They have more products than even the dutch smart shops. Less regulations etc etc.
Its only recently they've rid the shelves of san pedro, fly agaric amongst a few other things. Including BZP. I'll include a link to somewhere to buy effective legal alternatives to weed. Spice Diamond is good and so is SMOKE. Do a search for these products for more reviews etc.

While you're looking for alternatives I'd recommend London Underground Doves. They're advertised as plant feed due to legal reasons but I swear they are the closest you'll get to the real thing legally. I've had my fair share of pills over the last 10 years. So much so the real deal doesn't do it for me any more. These are just like taking your first one again. You never forget that one.

salvia is legal and gets you waaaaaay high. therefore making it a "legal bud" so to speak.

just because it does not contain THC does not mean it won't alter your mind. there are many different plants that can be smoked that will have an effect on the mind. pot is not the only one. to claim nothing but THC will have an effect on you is to be uninformed. :peace::joint::joint:

wtf is a "precious sensitivity"?

Nevermind. Arguments are rarely understood on these forums. People only want to express and justify their opinions rather than trying to understand what someone else is saying. It's very rare to see someone work with a platform of openness. The status quo is to justify what YOU think without regard for understanding what opposition there may be.

Case in point, I merely stated MY opinion and used an analogy to do so. I did NOT criticize. What happened? I was lambasted for being insensitive - I was the bully for not agreeing with what the OP said. Why? I merely gave MY opinion. I've listened to your opinions without criticizing them, but it doesn't matter. You have 30 thousand posts - I don't have 1 thousand. My voice is effectively drowned by your seemingly disapproving tone to my opinion.

Either way, let's get back to the point. Discuss the legal bud. I'm sure there are substances that will get you high other than weed, so continue discussion. I'm most saddened by the fact that the OP has to seek alternatives to herb because of current U.S. policy, which punishes those who smoke a harmless plant. I sympathize with you and hope that someday we can all smoke weed without any repercussion from our source of employment. For this cause, blaze on...:joint:

all opinions are exactly that. Everybody has there say. Too much off what you can and can't say in my eyes.

One persons opinion is just as valid as the next, simple as that.

close friend of mine nearley died from somking spice hears wut cnn has to say about it

(CNN) -- Smokable herbal blends marketed as "legal highs" have become increasingly popular and as easy to buy as cigarettes.
The blends of exotic herbs and other plants have been sprayed or coated with one or more chemicals that, when smoked, produce euphoria. They are commonly labeled as herbal incense to mask their intended purpose. These contain drugs that are dangerous and should be illegal.
"K2" is a brand name for a dried herbal blend that can be smoked. It produces a high similar to that of marijuana but doesn't contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive chemical in marijuana. Instead, K2 contains synthetic chemicals, known as JWH-018 and JWH-073, that mimic THC by acting on the cannabinoid receptors in the brain.
For another opinion, click here
JWH-018 and JWH-073 are produced in China and unregulated in the United States. Similar products have been produced and marketed under names such as Spice, Genie, Blaze, Red X Dawn and Zohai. Since 2009, the Drug Enforcement Administration has been receiving reports of the abuse of these herbal products.
K2's key ingredients were invented by Dr. John Huffman at Clemson University in 1995 during medical research on the effects of cannabinoids on the brain. He found no medical benefits -- only negative side effects. Unfortunately, marijuana users reproduced the recipe, creating a legal alternative to marijuana.
Although the company manufacturing K2 is unknown, it is legally available for purchase in the U.S. by anyone, including minors.
In late 2008, herbal incense-type products that were being shipped from Europe to the U.S. were found to contain traces of another potent psychoactive chemical known as HU-210. It is classified as a Schedule I controlled substance because it is a derivative of THC with a similar chemical structure and pharmacological activity. HU-210 was also developed for experimental purposes and can be from 100 to 800 times as potent as THC.
In 2009, Germany banned the sale of Spice because tests revealed that it contained JWH-018 and yet another potent chemical, CP-47 497, developed by a drug company in the 1980s for research purposes. It produces effects similar to THC and is three to 28 times more potent.
Spice is banned by some U.S. military commands, where the potential for its abuse has been recognized. Research has linked naturally produced marijuana to health issues, including schizophrenia. With synthetic marijuana being even more potent, it is frightening to consider its potential damage.
K2 can cause increased heart rate, loss of consciousness, paranoia, hallucinations and psychotic episodes. Users report that smoking small amounts results in intense highs comparable to smoking large amounts of marijuana.
Studies in 2008 revealed that users developed chemical dependencies, withdrawal and addictive behaviors. Increasing numbers of children are purchasing synthetic marijuana products because they are legal and easier to obtain than cigarettes.
Because of the various chemicals being used, these substances are difficult to regulate. But the DEA is determining whether some or all of these products need to be controlled. More research is definitely needed. With young people using K2 more, some states are not waiting for the DEA and are moving to ban it.
Let's face it: Anytime you consume an uncontrolled or unregulated drug or a drug with unknown effects, you are taking a risk. Products like K2 are not made in a controlled environment, and those who use it are playing Russian roulette.
Schedule I drugs are defined as substances that have a high potential for abuse and no accepted medical use. At this time, the evidence suggests that these synthetic marijuana substances should be controlled and perhaps classified as Schedule I drugs.
Making these drugs illegal makes it more difficult for dealers to push them to our children. It limits availability and sends a message that the drug is dangerous -- an extremely important message since history has shown that when youngsters perceive drugs to be harmful, they are less likely to use them.
K2 serves no apparent useful purpose, and we do not need more addicted family members, drug-impaired drivers or drug-related deaths.
The sale of synthetic marijuana is banned in Britain, Germany, Poland, France, South Korea and Russia. The U.S. should move urgently to protect the public from yet another dangerous and potentially deadly class of drug

i have some "legal bud " experience i would like to share, but first i would like to say that i am not bashing just sharing . also i will say that we are all saying "legal bud" , i dont think that is a good way to desribe what is being talked about.the products i have tried are international oddities nothing more so i cant speak for these spices and salvias . anyhow on more than one occasion i ordered multiple products from IO, i have tried products that they market as herbal substitutes for weed , hash and opium substitutes aswell. not one time did i recieve a "buzz" or any feeling that i enjoyed along with the fact that none of these products was even comparable at all to the substances they are supposed to be like. even though we all keep saying legal buds none of the herbal products i got even looked like a bud at all , kinda reminded me of highschool buying oregano from the school ripoffs because thats what i got big ol bags herbs well one of them was actaully a bag of roots. now the hash and opium wanna bes looked like they were supposed to tasted like potpouri and still produced nothing more than a headache.

so really i am sure there are products out there that will do the deed like the spices or salvias that i know nothing about , but like i said the products i got from IO that on 2 occasions costed me a total $135.00 did a damn bit of good for me or all the people i shared with . who by the way still clown me for even buying it one time. yeah i bought twice thinking all of the stuff i bought the first time was the wrong stuff so i picked out some other products and got the same results -sore throat, headache and a huge loss of money.

sorry if i offended any one i am just under the impression this thread is open to all and not just the users of legal bud and trying to help people who may or may not choose to try these legal methods of getting "high"

Only tried a "legal" alternative one time and its was called something along the lines of PEP Strawberry Spice. It had to be laced or coated with a synthetic cannabanoid. It gave me very much the effects of smoking marijuana at the right dose. To little and not much, but to much and it was almost boderline salvia, see things when My eyes closed, loss of time perception, doing things a did not want to do(over and over lol) muchies just pure retardedly obliterated lol. It was rather expensive at $100 for 3 grams, but a small bowl was good for a weed like high, a big bowl and it was almost unpleasant lol

For started this is a great thread for people looking into getting some legal bud becuase there are some good opinions and real world experiences being expressed. I have tried several legal buds and just got a slight buzz from them and a headache i really dont like the stuff but will probably try the hash in a vaporizer.

For the record Salvia divinorum is a herb you can smoke that is a more powerful halucinagin, stronger than LCD . but the effects only last about ten minutes.

salvia is the only alternative to pot i will smoke, i have seen people straight falll over after a hoot of it and see shit like " the world was a giant carpet gettting rolled up to be put away in the closet and i was trying to get away" and some other really crazy things haha, when i smoke it i get extremly high from it and laugh uncontrollably, it also makes it very hard to talk and everything you try to say sounds like its in slow motion.

salvia has even been featured in GQ magazine, with a full report on where it comes from and its properties.

one hoot from a bong and hold it in as long as you can and you will be flying to places youve never been!

i would never try it because i don't know where or how it is being made. i don't know what chemicals i am smoking or what it is doing to my body.

that is just my personal opinion. you go ahead and buy 'synthetic marijuana' and good luck. i will continue to grow my own deliciously natural marijuana.

the artical in GQ explained all about where it comes from and its just a plant to, but who knows what people do to it afterwards
