Need a Little Help with StinkBuds System

I just took them out of stinkbuds veg system and put them into the flowering to give them some room to grow. In the pictures you can see like the right side of the flower unit is doing good but the left side is having problems. Any ideas would be great. Temp 75degree RH 40% All the sprayers are working nutes are set to 1250ppm just like the other system was. They seem to not be growing tall maybe still growing out but not up. Any ideas? nute lock? salt Build up? Using bonticare nutes! Thanks in advanced for any help

Roots were about 2 feet long they were bright white. I use liquid Karma so the some of the roots have a little bit of brown but I know its from the nutes. The just don't seem to be growing like they were in the veg unit. Maybe they need some time to adjust or something. I think I'm just losing it I have yet t smoke waiting now.

oh feed is 1on 5 off never had any problems before. I also lifted the back some more thinking maybe that the water was getting caught in the roots.

yeah I had same thing and posted a thread about it about 2 weeks ago. Mine took about a 4-5 days to adjust, but that worked out well because they are exploding at an exponential rate again. If they had not been a bit shocked from the transfer they might be touching the ceiling now...jk

I was really nervous about transplanting as well because I also had 2 foot long roots. If you have 4" x 4" grow chambers you are basically just piling up a huge root mass there right below your 2" hole.

Next time I am going to transfer with 6" long root structures and do much smaller plants.

my roots gained a slightly less bleached white tinge after the transfer as well

as soon as they realized they were in heaven again, they started shooting out bleached whites and the main root structure is looking a bit more bounteous altogether.

they look swell

thank you see i was just wondering if they have a cool down so to say because they just moved. I have 22 plants in the cloner from seed. They were drinking quarter of a gallon of water a day for the last 3 days in the veg. I'm on my 6 node but they are only 7-9 inches tall. Is that short for 30 days today from seed. I seen some pics of others that are 30 days old and have 6 nodes but are well over a foot tall. Is there any real benefit to short nodes beside plant strength? Thanks again everyone.

Just need to give it some time to adjust. . . . .that is music to my ears.

short internode length is praised by many growers and shrugged off by others I have noticed. I have found internode separation to be typically be a function of lighting. Genetics can play a part to.

I have never looked to this as a indication of anything. Stretching = bad, but other than that internode length should be far down on your to LEARN list.

ya just have a lil patience with those transfers

BTW your seed plants will stretch much more than your clone plants will when you get some mothers off those.
Good thing I have the braces to support stretching. Thanks for the help! Next thing I must get into is topping and trimming the plant of certain leaves. Any tips would be great.

+rep thanks again

topping is pretty basic and unmystical. Check out the FAQ section.
My father said the same thing he like you don't get any thrill out of it. He said veg is the worst part of growing cause there really is anything worth getting excited about except major growth. He said its flowering that is worth watching.

same thing i guess happens to all of us, from clones hanging in a tub to getting stuffed into a 2 inch net pot we get pretty ruff with em, now just dial your set and sit back and enjoy the show

I guess the next question is Do I hold off on the co2 since I'm starting flowering in about 4 days. ( they are about 10 inches tall ) Or do I get it? Also any recommendations on a good 600w HPS for flowering. I enjoyed using the Hortilux so should I get the HPS version enhanced spectrum? Thanks again morris

Dead on my dad was the growing in the 80's with 80 -4ft Fluo's all soil setup.( vita-lite power twist ) He also was the man for making MJ shrubs! plants. He wanted me to grow like 10 plants to 5 ft bushes over the next 4 months but I told him to get with the times. He wants to see if we could run stinks system with 8 ft posts running a light mover in a 10ft room. But my next project is a home made vertical aero grow using the same meathods as stink.

system is pimped but my sprayers clogged ended up have to hook up a compressor to blow out the sprayers since the roots tangled all over the pipe. I had 5 plants growing and the last one died in the 3rd week of flowering for some crazy reason and tat was a bitch pretty much just cut it flush and let the roots die, which fucked up some of the others, but i didnt have 40-50$ for more different nutes to help kill the dead roots, the second run seems to be doing better but right now my 1st and 3rd plants are growing super fast and now blocking the hell out of the 2nd plant so had to pull them away to get light to them, have already topped um once so dont want to cut the heads off again :(

ENGISH IS GUD! lol jk ...

Stinkbud says you can trim roots with little shock, but definitely don't do it past 2nd week flowering. ...

Try trimming ur roots at end of ur veg cycle. All hydro plants only require a small healthy root structure to thrive.

hahaha...a prime guess.

Light mover is a waste IMO. Strap 2 1000wattrs to that 10ft region.

vertical is swell 2...i recommend some 600watters for that.

I look forward to seeing that vertical aero grow and yes get with the times dad rofling

I guess my dad is stuck in his way from back in the days about power consumption. I have electronic ballast so Saving money there, Fluo's for clones, 400w MH for Veg and 600w for Flowering. Why is the light mover a waste? Save on power and covers more ground with one light. I'm still new to the research of them and just now looking into them.
