air cool it or u'll have to keep a fan directly on it keeping the hot air on its way, but i would suggest air-cooling it thats what i do and im never gona buy a non air cooled hood again, is ur box in feet or meters, if its feet it may be too small

I am going to be in the same situation as you are. I will be getting a 400w hps in a grow cab bout the same size and i acctually did a post on it. I have been told by everyone on this sight that the best way to go is a cool-tube. They are a bit expensive if you are on a tight budget but apparently they do wonders. There is a glass tube around the bulb and then you mount a small fan and some ducting on the end that it clips on to and then the fan draws all the heat from the bulb and out of the grow cab. The only thing is that they dont tend to work for MH bulbs as they are to fat (i am sure you could get ones to fit but im not sure) but they are great for HPS bulbs.
Hope this has helped.

Running a 600 watter in that size space, I would definitly run an air cooled reflector or cool tube.
Just pull the cool air from a cool room inside the house then exhaust it outside. You will also be able to get your lamp closer to the plants.

Yeah, nine leaves is good, beleive it or not I am also new to this and have yet still to set up my grow room (should be finished in bout 2 weeks). I have picked up alot of stuff on this forum so my advice is to just spend a bit of time on this site every day reading stuff, even if it isnt directly relavent to your grow and you will pick up a broader base of knowledge which will help you make certain decisions and maybe even change your grow room about a little bit.

nope sorry, look around in the plant problem section and you should be able to figure it out pretty quickly. This may not be right but im pretty sure that leaves curling is due to temperature but then it may be to do with the PH.
