Is weed green? (well if you're tom it's all kinds of purple). Hell yeah. You let me know and I'll be there, and the mountain resort is always open. Have you seen my album pics?

Just don't do it the first couple weeks in Aug. I'll be on another continent.

And I'll take 'air rep', it's just as good. Thanks.

how far are you from san fransico or 29 palms? i'll go check your albums now
Not far from 29 palms at all. That's sorta my area of cali. If you haven't before you should really check out keys view - inside Joshua Tree. It is a lookout over the salton sea basin, with a view through the valley out towards LA. It is really something. It's also windy as hell, because of the way it's at the top of a giant bowl, strongest winds I've ever been around.

I still managed to smoke a bowl though, haha.

hey jig, that looks like a beautiful part of california. my wife and i took a trip out to san francisco last year. used it for a base and traveled all over. i fell in love with nocalif. my son will be departing in sept. from either san diego or 29 palms so i'm not sure of our travel plans yet. but we will be there for a couple of weeks.

I'll be here, and I don't mind driving if need be. And I should have a few different strains cured by then (lucky you).

Good luck to the son. I respect him very much and truly appreciate what he does. Truly.

Jig great lookin gro man. I have the same size grow area and cant wait for mine to look like yours. My only worry is overcrowding the small area. do you think yours is crowded or are all plants getting enough light.

+rep for the advice on nutes

I used my screen to make sure the light got to all the plants. They are happy.

If I would have vegged them 4 weeks (as I did) and then flowered without the screen, it would have been to crowded I think.

I could have, and will next time only use 4 plants. I don't think I"ll use the screen next round as I have other projects around the house to focus on this summer, and I don't want to pay attention to a screen.

I think I will lollipop the plants so that not so much of them is shaded. I think maybe that's what you should do. Hope that helps, if you still have questions ask away.

Did you notice the title of the post.

The new format reflects the answer to my question I finally found:

canaseed.com said:
Question: How long is the cannabis flowering duration?

Answer: After the cannabis plant has finished its vegetative stage, it goes into flowering.

When you start seeing the first flowers, you know more or less when you're going to harvest if you read the information about the seed.

On CanASeed.com you can see the number of weeks needed from the day flowering is beginning, until harvest.

For example, the number 9 indicates that it will take 9 weeks from the beginning of flowering time to harvest.
So... I'm really only starting week 5 of flowering right now. Meaning I am more than 4 weeks away from the scheduled harvest.

No wonder I'm not seeing the bulking up of the buds like I thought I would. And I officially used the Gravity too early, oh well. I also now know why there is lack of smell, I mean they smell a bit, but I was thinking I was in the last couple weeks.

Down side... I kinda messed up the schedule. I used the wrong nutes during the beginning of 12/12. I probably made the impact of the gravity less.

Up side... My buds are already pretty massive, so 4+ more weeks and they will be nuts. I'll be using the FloraNectar for almost 7 weeks, that's some sweet smoke. More time for this newb to figure things out, haha.

I feel really silly. I feel stupid for freaking out last week with the trichs and the gravity and stuff. I guess that's what first grows are for. It's nice though that I didn't freak out and chop anything down. No harm I guess.

Any thoughts on any of this... do you guys think I messed anything up too bad?

Those buds don't look any worse for wear. In fact, they look pretty good to me. I'm willing to be that over the next few weeks you'll see the buds dense up and that wonderful aroma we all love will begin to fill your bedroom.

yo dirty, glad to see you roll through. Thanks for the words. While I feel silly about it all, I am stoked to have so much more time for things to fill out.

And I also want to be clear, if I harvested today I would be more than happy with my first grow. I just like striving for perfection so that's why I carry on.

And kev... I had my little clones under 400w of MH from the time I got them. I got the clones back on page 6, if you want to read about it. Here's what their roots looked like when I got them. The first pic is the white widow by iteself. The second is of the Hindu Kush all 5 were together, so that's all 5's roots there.

I kept the light about 2 - 2.5 feet away from them for a week or so I think, then I brought it down slowly to as close as I could, which I think was about 5-6 inches off the tips.

This is my first grow ever, so no. Those were my plants how they started.

But I've smoked it a lot and I like that.

I'm having a hard enough time waiting for this stuff to finish without you guys talking about how great it's going to be... I sooooo want this to be done. Just so I can start smoking. :joint:

It's actually been a while since I've smoked white widow... in all the stores around me they have 30 different kinds of crazy sounding made up names of herb, but they never have the basics. So I am excited to have my own stash.

I have also never smoked Hindu Skunk... I think I've smoked Hindu Kush before, but don't remember, and I don't think I've ever smoked Skunk. Anyone here ever tried the Hindu x Skunk I'm growing, is it good (it's all good, but you know what I mean)?

I'm excited about the smell. I'm sure I'll change my tune when my whole house stinks to high heaven. I do have carbon at the ready for a filter... I'm just waiting on making it.

Hey mafia, you have any thought's on the fact I used the gravity with about 6 weeks left? Should I run it any different than I would have if I did it right? Run it again?

Hope everyone's having a good weekend. It's seems like everyone must be doing something because the traffic on riu has been very very slow. But that is a good thing (that people are doing things, not that riu traffic is slow)

whats up Jig man!
Hey I use the Gravity at about week 4 in flower, about 1/4 tsp. per gallon.
Then again about week 6 in flower at 1/2 tsp per gallon, which is half of the bottles reccomended dosage, but thats as high as i go.
Then again (1/2 tsp. per gallon) in week 8 during the flush with molasses, then the last week, they get straight molasses water for the final flush.

Thanks alot for that. One more question... do you use nutes like regular for the watering in between the gravity?

Appreciate it.

Oh, and for everyone's info my hopeful harvest window is around May 21-25. Around 4 weeks from now.
