Hey Everyone I am back again with another setup and just need some clarification on whether this will work or not keep in mind i am very open minded an i will accept all ideas given to me. But any way I have seen rubbermaid grows and they all had two or more containers stacked on each other. And I was wondering if i could only use one. I only inted on veging a couple plants in there for a month or so and send them outside to finish up.

My supplies are

1 Rubbermaid Container
Piece of wood
9 26wat cfls
2 3 inch cpu fans (intake)
6 inch fan (out take)
mylar

I currently have the grow in my closet I try to keep the temps as low as possibe but it can be so inconsistent some times the lowest i have had it was at 84 degrees and the highest at an astonishing 112 degrees( good thing i didnt put any plants in there or they would done for).

Does Anyone have any suggestions to lower the temps and will one Rubbermaid work All Help Appreciated Thanks.

kind of hard to tell....what kind of space is between the floor and edge of lights>? the fans should be exhausting that hot air out......you say its in a closet? what is ambient temp in the closet? you will need to have as cool of air as possible flowing into the intake...cause the box pulling ambient air into box will not work well. YOU could try taking a 1-gallon milk jug and freeze it with water.....put that in front of the air intake to draw the air past the jug, that will decrease your temps...but this will have to be done over and over....so take a few jugs and freeze them....just keep rotating them in and out.

If your only gonna use this setup for vegging for a month or so, then why keep your plants in there at all.
The weather is gonna be nice very soon. Just wait a few more weeks and vegg them outside.
If it get's too cold at night, just bring'em in, or cover them with that rubbermaid tub.

Seems like a whole lotta hassle for just a couple of plants.

Hey Sirbudmater thanks for the quick reply Well the space between the lidgts ant the floor is about 13 to 16 inches. I have Made a few adjustments with my box it is a tad different from the first set of pic. I use bot of my pc fans for intake and the 6 inch fan for out. The ambien closet/bedroom temp is anywhere between 60 to 70 degrees. Now that i think about it thats whats probably messing with the temps. I will do the frozen jugs i have done it before but i put it in my grow room instead of out side and it has done wonders. I dont know why i didnt think of that anyway thanks.

Hey Whats Up BongJuice Thanks for checking my thread out but the reason why i am growing it in the rubbermaid because i was told that it was best if i put the plants outside after 3 to 5 nodes and i figured it would grow alot faster inside then out at such an early stage. I have two plants outside right now in dixie cups and they are growing slow. They are mostly stretching and are only on there second set of leaves( not counting the round ones) The have been out there for about 2 weeks maybe 3. Ill try and snap some pic for you.

you are right! the sun is powerful, need a nice strong root mass...then let it outside...BUT i would suggest aclimating them outside too! dont throw them right under the sun......ease them out there

Why does everyone misinterpret what I always say, or maybe it's just that they only read the first few words and then reply.
I said, to wait a few more weeks until the weather is better.

I understood exactly what you said I was jus letting you know that i have 2 plants already growing outside and the have made little to know progress at all. Seeing how all they did was strech i wanted to get them a good root system and couple nodes and acclimate them like sirbudmaster said. Keep In mInd I am only getting it ready for outside It will finish growing for the summer. So instead of having the same thing happen over again i figured i would learn from the first one. I dont think i metioned it but this will be my first out door grow. I am used to the inside grow where i can keep the stretching down to a minimum. Sorry About the confusion and if you have anymore suggestions keep them coming
