Has anyone smoked any buds or grown this strain before? I saw it won the indica cup last year and its got me curious. It really doesn't say much in the description. Hows the taste and smell? Got any info?

Attitude seeds

Kiwiseeds - Mount Cook The highest mountain in N.Z and a plant that lives up to the name! A mainly indica cross that has all those familiar characteristics. Big wide leaves, thick short stems and branches, fat pungent buds simply coated in snow-like crystals. The smoke is heavy and stoning, almost paralysing! Although a little longer than some Indica's, Mt Cook has a reasonable flowering time, and good yield making it a great indoor plant.
Type: Indoor Genetics: Sativa 25% / Indica 75% Flowering: 50 - 65 days Height: 50 - 120 cm Yield: 500 - 600 grams per m2 High: Heavy stoned

Mt Cook, (or Aoraki as it’s known in Maori) is the highest and most majestic mountain in N.Z and Kiwiseeds have done their best to produce a plant that lives up to its name!
Mt Cook is a mainly indica hybrid of 2 very special plants. The mother is of Afghani/Thai roots and was selected from 100’s of females in a Kiwiseeds breeding program carried out in N.Z in 1998. She was picked for her short flowering times, THC content, and compact structure as well as fruity taste and aroma influenced by the Thai genetics.
The resulting plant was brought back to Holland in clone form, and after much trial and error crossing her with various males, eventually a suitable pollen donor was found.
This came in the form of one ‘Northern Lights’ X ‘Hashplant’ used in a previous hybrid from Kiwiseeds called ‘Milky Way’.
‘Mt Cook’ comes with all those familiar indica characteristics. Lovely deep-green leaves, short thick, stems and branches, fat pungent buds simply coated in snow-like crystals.
The smoke is heavy and stony, almost paralyzing! Although a little longer than some Indicas, Mt Cook has a reasonable flowering time, and good yield making it a great indoor plant.

Sweet, thanks man.
So it seems its a fruity strain probably with some hash taste to it, exactly what I was looking for :bigjoint:
This really seems like the perfect plant for me. I plan on crossing it with my sativa dominate OG kush which I've heard has some thai roots. I think the lemon-fuel taste in the OG should go nice with the fruity-hash taste of the mt cook.

I was in the kiwi seeds shop and asked where to get some bud at. They only had enough entered in the cup and nothing in the dampkring coffee shops. It won best indica, so I assume it'll be good.

hi guys!
I am just finishing my first gorw ever now. It is some feminized indoor mix from sensiseeds.
During my last visit to Amsterdam I did purchased some MT COOK feminized ( I only got 5 seeds).
As I am growing in AEROFARM (I only have 5 slots) and I have found out that 5 big plants is far too much for my system (currently I only have 2 and wouldnt be able to fit any extra piece there) - I want to start a SEA OF GREEN grow now.
I am planning to have 2 mt cooks and 3 other plants from my indoor fem mix.

But I am not sure - maybe it is better to go for 5 mt cooks, and not mix strains during SOG grow?
I am afraid that MT COOKS might be short, while other strains might grow taller taking precious light away from smaller plants. Let me know what you feel guys as I am planning to start germination today or tomorrow!!!
