SoG...I think Froggy means he'll recoup his initial monetary outlay after 11 weeks with the disbursement of vegetative material for monetary renumeration.

that's sick bra,
how did you calc 42k worth of power usage in 11 weeks though?

Hey SoG...

Since you're getting closer to getting everything setup for that first grow, I was wondering if you have decided on any particular Strain(s) to get started with?

first time I'm hearing of this strain,
any official info for this strain?
heres some info i was able to find..

ELVIS
A hybrid mix with Chitral and Skunk. It is also known as the Celebrity. This plant has giant Indica fan leaves drooping down covering the whole plant with 8 fingers to each and the structure is almost identical to the 50/50 pheno of the Herijuana with elongated internodes with the exception of 8 fingers to each fan rather than 7 and has much fatter fans and is rather nute sensitive.

----

Elvis is a sativa/indica mix. It's a clone only strain with it's exact linage being unknown. It finishes in about 60 days. It grows to medium height and has sativa-like buds that have a very special taste and smell to them. Called the "Church" for it's sandlewood like incense taste with a up sativa high.

This doesn't seem like a good SoG strain to do at all, but I guess SOG isn't doing an SoG anymore?

From what I've read the Elvis is a connoisseur-level exotic with heavy sativa influence and a ten week flower time that doesn't yield enough to make that extra two weeks worth while in the long run (four 10-week cycles a year vs. five 8-week cycles per).

Clearly a yield vs. quality deal, no? Would love to hear a healthy debate on this kinda thing... :peace:

I got some HB going now - I made the mistake of mixing OG and HB in my first 2 Stink Flower units... I wish I had NOT done so as their nutrient needs are different (HB wants more!). The HB takes up some room. The sativa in her makes her grow big and tall... I love the smoke, but it may prove to be much like growing SourD in the Stink units - too big, too long to finish... we shall see. I am at 24 days and the OG is densing up and ripening circles around the HB. The HB did show later, but its buds look looser than the HB. I think the HB will fair best with high light levels - MH lamps in first half of flowering may help to control the stretch?

Have you seen any good LA Conf around, SOG? I recently got a peek at some first class LA Conf (is it just Bubba Kush?). The plants are stubby little beasts with a sturdy, squat structure, perfect symmetry with a huge coloa in the center and 4 or 5 colas circled around the main. I am going to try this for Flower batch 4. (flower batch 3 will be all OG). The structure and size seem perfect for the Stink machine.

As ususal - just my humble opinion!

interesting you brought this up Lions
talked to my connection this morning
it looks like there will be some HB shortage coming
they are unavailable at this time, apparently there was a major bust
and the person tied with HB clones got busted for what ever reason
he was suppose to be my main connection for getting quality clones
as he provides my middle man with very high quality clones for his shop

haven't seen LA Conf around for the longest time now

SOG,
im wondering what your using for a dehumdifier and a/c. the reason i ask is for some reason i remember someone telling me that my a/c would dehumidify the air and i dont need a seperate (heat producing) dehumidifier. i could just shut the dh off and see what happens but id rather get some input from someone that know more than me first.
