first indoor grow

high all,

My "grow room" is about a 5sq foot closet space (approx 4x1.25). The walls are white and I have covered a lot of the first 30 inches (vertical direction)with alluminum foil.
I am using a florlux (?) system with a 250 watt MH bulb currently 27.5 inches from the little sprouters (I think I can go up to a 400w bulb) I will use HPS for flowering stage. I am currently using miracle gro seed starting potting mix, and an Organic seed starter mix from Ferry-Mose. I am using some purified drinking water right now and no fertilizers for now. I have tried my best to read as much as I can from the stickies to avoid a "stupid" post but I do have a few ?'s I was hoping somebody could answer:

Is my light sufficient for maybe up to 4 mature females? It sure seems plenty bright in there. Temp 72-80 when light is on. I have a fan in there.

Currently I have seedlings in solo cups and these peat boxes I got more recently. What size pot is good for my grow? would an 8 or 10 inch circular pot do well or am I going to yield much less in a pot that size?

I ordered seeds recently after my germinating success, if they arrive within 2 weeks I plan to start one or two of them (save the rest for next time i got 15) will forcing the other plants to veg an extra 2-3 weeks will any bad come of this?

This grow is totally for personal consumption and I do not want more than 4 strong females inside at the end, how much will this smell considering I have three windows in the room which within 1 month will be open nearly at all times the outdoor temp is above 60.

Take the tin foil down...the white walls are good enough and better than foil.
2 gal pots work well in closets and you will have good yields with the right conditions.
A few extra weeks of veg will only benefit you if you dont have height restrictions.

you might want to think about getting one more 250w light... one 250 would be sufficent if your space was square... but since its rectangle your light wont be able intense enough to reach the outer perimeter.. even if it looks bright your still losing a lot of intensity.. not saying you wont yield on all the plants.. just wont be much on the outside plants... so.. ya.. imo one more light would be perfect for the space.. i would say just rotate the two middle plants with the 2 outside plants and just use the one light... but thats a lot of work to do everyday...
