I find it increases the potency as your weed becomes more compact (you'll lose about 25% weight) so the trichomes are more dense. The THC conversion thing takes oxygen & time. Water curing is only to remove the harshness of uncured bud when smoking.

that's right, just make damn sure it's dried thoroughly or you'll get mold.
um, like i said up top lotsa people told me lotsa different things but no one backed up their thoughts with a explanation. which is what u just did, id love to hear more on your thoughts on it so do share
thx man, id rep u again but it wont let me, i already have water cured bud thats dry thats been in their a week almost. no mold thankfully! but its also kinda cool under my bed (i live in a basement) so what temps do mold thrive in? the one can had alot of moisture so i left it open for a while and no mold. and the first one i did didnt have a fan on it during drying but it still didnt mold at all and only took 3 days to dry (it was a little too dry actually so i added orange peels when i started to normal cure it. ) i myself cant think of any reason other than the temps prevented mold but then shouldnt it dry slower in cooler temps? cuz mine actually took less time than norm. taste is not really important to me right now im much more interested in potency and getting it done as fast as possible while not killin potency.a little less potency dont bug me to bad though, as long as i can feel it after i smoke a bowl.
they like it warm. I play it cautious with water cured by drying bone dry then re-moistening with orange peel for the cure.
