well, with the creative mind that I have.. I have already planned out a better grow box.. in the lower portion of my closet..

The dimensions are 53"w x 30"d x 50"h. its a good size area.

I want to use the enviros for veg.. so not necessarily nixed

but for floweringg.. I want to use a 400w hps in a cooltube running horizontally across the top of the space.. leaving approx 36" for plant growth. I will scrog if I have to haha. I have an idea for cooling the tube and the grow area.. but too tired to type it lol. if i can i will post a pic of my plans.

what is a reliable quiet fan that I can use to "cool the tube"? will this 6" duct fan work? just mounted in the top of the box.. pulling the cool air from a passive intake or small fan on the floor of the grow space.

the last pic is one of my current rubbermaid box using cfls, enviros and equivs.

Hey bro, you should check out google sketchup to make your designs. I used it to design my growbox and it really helped me measure stuff out etc...as long as you're somewhat handy with a computer you'll pick it up real quick. Easier then drawing it on paper hehe..

I think i might use this! thanks.. help first???

The 6" TD-150.... 218-293cfm
since its so quiet, and powerful.. I am thinking I can use it to filter the box aswell as cool theh bulb in my cooltube. What do you think if I mount this fan to the top of the 4'x4'x2.5' (33cubic ft) box in my closet, connected by ductiing to the 400w hps cooltube that will run horizontally along the top inside of the box?

as for intake.. would it be cool if I put two small fans on the bottom of the box, drawing cooler air in at a slower speed, creating a vacuum effect. sounds right to me.. what about you guys?

After more and more endless research, I have found that people successfully vent their space, filter odor and cool the tube by using this setup.

Carbon Filter>>Cooltube>>>>(ducting)>>>>6" exhaust fan 293cfm..

So Killhit. I am researching the same set up. So your looking to pull air thru the filter first then cool tube via the 150td out the room. right? I am looking to put a Y on the setup and pull air from the veg air as well.
