its to simulate uv light just go to a pet suply store and get a uvb bulb they are like 10 bucks, this will make the plant produce more trichs.

black lights are like black cats. we are both cool to look at but do nothing for your plants.

just go to the pet store and get a uv light in the reptile section. say hello to the kittens for me. purr.

Thanks you for the knowledge. A book I got in the mail from a friend called Growers Handbook. By Ed Rosenthal. There was something on back lights saying that it could work. Also strobe lights? kinda of a crazy guy but really good book.

Why do u say they do nothing, and then tell him to go and buy one from the petshop?

black light is phyto-toxic and should not be used in growing cannabis

Care to elaborate?
Most ppl believe that UV light mimics the suns rays and causes the plant to produce more Trichs to act as a sunscreen.
Im not saying ur flat out wrong, but this is the 1st iv heard of it, what info u got??

black lite is not the same as uv. all light will do a little, people will use a black lite for the uv but there is very little. if you want to add uv get one grow a pet store. lees black/purple color more uv. some people clam uv makes bud fatter.

Doing so readings on black lights. Some use them to mimic the moon at night. I would look more in to a strobe light then a black light for growing.
