Is it possible or hopeless?

This will be my 1st grow, and I'll be growing 6 Northern Lights in a 2x3 grow area. I can't afford a hps or mh light, or even a fluorescent.
I was wondering, could I use incandescent lights? I have a bunch of high wattage ones lying around. I could easily get over 3000 lumens per plant. With that amount of lumens, could I use incandescent?
If so, what would my yield most likely be?

yeah start them off on those lights. then put them outside somewhere. this year im gonna grow some outside too. because i dont have any money. so ill start them in my closet with CFLs, and then just put them outside when the theyre big enough.

I was thinking about growing outside, because of the yields and the fact that I wouldn't need to buy a light. But how would I control pests? And when is a good time to plant them? I live in the NY, if that helps.

incandescents dont offer the right spectrum of light for plant growth. those lights are basically worthless to grow plants with. im in ct and its starting to get pretty warm here but just last night we had a frost. wait a couple more weeks until after the last frost if you're going to plant them in the ground. another thing you can do to speed shit up is plant them in a pot and just take them outdoors for 18 hours and then bring them in at night. when it gets warm enough to leave them outside you can either keep doing that or plant them in the ground.
