please advise ... ive grown b4 but still need advice from the experts...

Hi, im new to this site and have read a hell of a lot of threads but still need some advice.

1. is it better to buy mylar and build my own rooms or to buy ready made tents ?

2. If height isnt an issue and im growning nft, is SOG or SCROG my best option and if so what kinda height should i grow the plants ?

apprechiate any advice, happy growing :)

Always willing to help someone who has done some research before asking.

1. I like to build but if you have no time buy a tent.

2. SOG is going straight 12/12 and you grow several plants. like 30 or 40 about 2 feet tall so you could stack them if you hung your light vertically. for this type of grow I would recommend looking at stadium grows.

SCROG or screen of green you can get the same yield with fewer plants like 15 or 20 by bending them and keeping them even with the screen. Here you want horizontal lighting.

Its a small grow but you get the idea.

Building your own is usually the better option because you can make it to any size you want.

hey, thanks i really apprechiate the advice ive read so much about the differencesbut you just made me understand the difference so much, i presumed ScrOG had to be small plants in a height restricted area, but as i already have 2 nft hydroduct trays 6' x 4' i think i will put just 5 plants each side with 2 600 watt lights above and try the ScrOG method but grow them quite big. you think this is my best option with this equipment ?

Yes, I think so.

I would put one tray off to the right the other to the left about 2 feet apart. Make the screen height about 12" Maybe curved up sides to have something to tie to. Train plants on the right to left and left to right with the lights above about 2 feet apart and 18" away.

Once the plants have reached the other tray I would take clones from the under the screen and remove any growth that didn't get passed the screen, and switch to 12/12. In about two weeks they will be done stretching and I would stop training them. All the plants buds will all be close to the same height and receive the most amount of light. Flower for another six weeks while I vegged the clones. Harvest and do it again. Keep this up and you will have a harvest every two months.

Another trick is to use a flip flop flower room. Its where you divide your flower room in half, run your ballest 24/7 and use a relay to switch from one flower bulb in one area to another. Limits power surges and you could space them a month apart.
