Can breaking the light cycle once cause hermies?

Hello, I'm in a bit of a panic right now because I had an accident with my lights tonight.

I left a bathroom light on in my grow room, which put indirect light off a wall across my crop for 7 hours into my dark cycle. My plants are about 6 weeks into flowering, and this is the first time this has occurred.

Is this enough stress to cause hermaphrodites? I was unable to find a definitive answer.

u were in the bathroom for 7 hours?

There is a bathroom connected to the bedroom that I grow in. It's like a master suite, with a side bathroom. That light was left on and I noticed when I checked the room 7 hours into the dark cycle.

it depends on your strains and health of the plants. and of cause on how much light were.

It will make plants that tends to hermi become one faster but if your plants are from stable genetics I believe it will be fine.
Bagseeds and such will tend to become hermi faster, but your should always check for hermies with does.
Sick plants will become hermi faster as well as they are already in a state of shock and the light change will cause some extra stress.

However, it will stun your flowering for a few days as the plant won't get the energy it needs from its dark cicle.

That sounds reassuring, anyone else made a mistake like this with healthy plants and have them be OK? My plants are extremely healthy.

How bright was the light reaching the plants? Keep in mind that outside flowering plants are exposed to moonlight.

My first grow with cfl's, switching from outside to inside, changing up my 12/12 period and roomies forgetting to hit the switch numerous times when asked- no hermies. I panicked each time and found that they were still healthy, conditions really didn't change just a 1 missed cycle here and there and back on track. Just keep an eye on em.

Well, just keep it from happening again and we hope it will do fine. No way to be certain right now, just to check regularly.

With healthy stable plants it shouldn't matter that much.

Hermies can be caused by stress, and light in the dark cicle sure causes it. But other things cause it as well - topping, limited root space, nute changes etc. If everything is well they should be able to take up the stress. Just let them recover without more mistakes and I believe they will be fine.
