No problem CReefer, i am very impressed with what i got for $36 dollars shipped!! i will be purchasing these seeds again that's how much i like em so far. I can't wait till you get your NL going man. I was thinking about getting NLxShiva from attitude or seedboutique, it looks insane. I have grown shiva shanti II and it was also great stuff. i'll have some sort of NL or NL cross soon! Awesome Mr. Bitti, and now that I know my Mazar is female, I cant wait to compare notes :)
nice man, i hope you get a faster flowering pheno than me or your in for a great love/hate relationship hehe. i think you only get the love after 4-5 weeks of flowering:weed:

i ordered a pack of 5 fem. big bang seeds and got 5 freebie mazar-i-sharifs from seedboutique.com for around $30

yea i got a great deal on a 10 pack at seedbay for $36 shipped. i think i got lucky cus now they dont have shit on ghs and really the only seedbank they have a good stock of is dutch passion which is great but the prices are outrageous

my mazar us turning purple on some leaves and stems at the very top reacting to the high light levels from the hps. no signs of heat stress, what you guys think? should i move her to a spot farther from the light? let her leaves go purple? not sure what to do since i got no heat stress

I would let it be for now, since you dont see any signs of heat stress... hey the more light the better.

Ive only had one plant turn purple at all for me and it was the last week of flowering. Only the fan leaves turned so it didnt add any color to the buds. I wouldnt mind seeing a pheno like that though

its getting purple spots on the leaves but nothing really on the bud. i think its just a reaction to the high light level. Not sure if its good or not but it seems to be doing fine so wont mess with it.

Im getting the damn calcium deficiency again on 2 of my big bangs. i ordered cal-mag a few weeks ago and its still not here, its really irritating me. Anyone used cal-mag before? if so how many ml per gallon?

Well... if the plant is doing well and starts getting some purple spots, sounds pretty harmless and cool as well:blsmoke:

Hey MrB, can you show us some pics of the purple action?
I can't see how excessive light can cause purpling.

stems go purple to protect themselves from too intense light. I'm sure you can find some info on it. But yea they go purp for protection. ill try to snap a pics with the last of my cam batteries.

The damn calcium deficiency is creeping up fast on one of my girls grrrr!!! i switched my nutrient solution a little bit to give her more cal/mag, and i should have a cal-mag bottle by tonight. As far as the purple, heres some pics to give you an idea of what im saying/

yeah its making its way into the bud. I have never heard that about the stems turning purple. Both my greenhouse clones have purple stems but its not from to much light lol( I have them under flouros and cfls

i had the issue taking some mother plants outside last summer and they started to purp up before flowering. I posted up and the experts agreed that the plant was protecting itself from the higher intensity UV rays of the sun. Im thinking the same applies for when your plant grows very close into the light. I didn't get purple leaves over the summer but still same principal you know?

i cant say its a deficiency because growth isn't stunted, i can see where the buds are growing with light green colors before they turn the normal dark green. So whatever ima let it sit there untill harvest. I think its gonna be fine, thanks for the input guys.

btw anyone used botanicare sweet? just got a free sample and not really sure if i should use it these last 3 weeks

I have been using it on one of 4 clones and it seems to be doing better then the rest. I dont think it will change the taste(I bought berry flavor) but the plant seems to like it

Hi there,

About the purple stems, I grew for the first time in winter this year. I grew the same strain from clone 4 times. When the temps dropped the stems went purple and the plant growth slowed for two weeks. Once I got the temps regulated the stem turned green again with purple lines. Go figure.

I have to think the purple was caused by stress. What caused it, the light or the temps, I would have to say in my case it was the temps.

Did your plant go through cold temps?
