If you blow them over to the point they bend permanently you'll have bent over plants. lol. Wow for some reason typing that made me feel retarded. Can always burry them down alittle.

Just caught myself staring at a picture of your set-up in a daze. Really impressed - its such the epidomy of stoner: tin foil, cardboard, electrical tape, books, a carabiner. Stoners love it simple - if it works why the fuck not?
very nice!!!

My leaves were droopy and I decided to transplant to bigger pots, like 10 gallon square pots. When I took the babies out of their old pots they were root bound, meaning the roots had nowhere to go, this was causing the plants to droop. They were drinking alot of water every two or three days, that is how I knew they were rootbound. So your plants are just slightly smaller than mine, might be time to go to bigger pots. Also, are your plants showing preflowers or sex yet? I threw out three males so far, down to four plants, two still not showing sex yet. Time to start more seeds and hope for the best. How big are your pots? Peace

Your ladies are looking GREAT man, so dark & bushy!! I would not worry one bit about the drooping unless they stay that way for days. Check out this time lapse video I found on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I03RYoa5qKk
It shows how the leafs will naturally droop then pick themselves back up. Im sure it is all about catching the light as long as possible then resting after the leafs have soaked up enough light.

Unless your plants droop like that for multiple days of start to turn odd colors (yellow, brown, light green) I wouldn't worry too much. It could just be the strain, it seems the water leafs are just enormous and there are so many of them, Im sure that it gets to be alot of work to keep them raised up to catch light.

You say you are 1 week 2 days into veg? How old were they when you started the 18/6 light cycle? Better yet, how old are they from the day they sprouted roughly? They look very large & lush for such young plants.

I think you are watering too much...I lighty spray my plants maybe 4 times in a lifetime..not very often and never when resin is presen..Lookin good, how many watts you runnin total now?

The droopy leaves are prolly due to either not enough light or too much watering. I wouldn't worry too much about it like KB said. Try and tweak things to get those leaves perky again but don't stress out over it - your plants are looking great, really.

Edit: You using all your lights? 16+ or whatever it was? Cuz then i'de def have to say water stress but again great looking plants

yeah today when i was lookin at them i took one out of the pot to see if roots were present and there were some...and it was one of my smaller plants so im thinkin the bigger one definatly need bigger pots...will do it this weekend...i havent noticed any sex or preflowering...should i see some already i figured it was still to early...not sure how big pots are.

they dont droop for more then a day roughly...ive heard overwatering i jus dont see how...i watered yesterday and today they were perked up lookin good i assume tomorrow they will be droopy again...i have a hydrometer and it always says 1 when i water also i use the pinky and its bone dry so i water...yeah my fan leaves are huge its gotta be hard to keep em up...i planted seeds on 3/14 sprouted for 2 weeks 24 hours then switched to 18/6 veg...i wanna flower 4/20 if i think they are ready...right now they are at about almost a foot tall(10-11 inches) wanna flower at like 3 ft...hoping after i put them in bigger pots this weekend they will grow alot.

i spray to keep dust and spider mites off my babies...wont do it in flower...like i told KB i dont think im overwatering cause my hydrometer says 1 barely moves if at all plus the stinky pinky and its always bone dry...goin to add some vermiculite once i move to bigger pots to see if that helps...right now running almost 500 watts like 490 somethin

im not too worried about it cause when i checked on them today they were perked back up lookin good...i topped one dont know if it was too early or not but already seeing more new growth...yeah i still got all my lights on em hopefully not water stress...when i water i flood the top a lil then let the water soak down but ive noticed that about 3inches down is still dry...what can i do? vermiculite?

When you water you want to water all the way to the bottom. They say 20% of the water you put in the pot should be allowed to run out the bottom. It is tricky getting the timing right on watering at first but this is what you're aiming at: You want to water all the way through with water coming out of the bottom of the pots and then let them drain. You then want to wait until all of the soil is barely moist before water again.

Adding perlite and vermilculite help by adding water retension while at the same time providing space for air helping both underwatering and overwatering. The drawbacks of both of these are that neither contains any nutrients for the plant. Cheap nutes provide mostly just nitrogen potasium and phosphorous which means all the other micronutrients must be obtained from the soil.

Hope this helps!

im thinkin most of the water sneaks down the sides of the pot instead of goin through the soil to the bottom

Some of it does but if you water very slowly and water every square inch of the pot it will soak in.

From what I have read here and there some plants will show sex in veg state, usually after a least a month of veg. You will see stipules first then above the fourth node usually is where to look for preflowers, if you use a lens it is easy to see. Sometimes males have at least two inches of internodal space, they grow tall and fast and have more internodal space than females, watched it on youtube. anyway, good luck and i will be watching, peace

Same thing happens to me and I hate it! All the water on the floor making a mess (i'm to lazy to water in the bathroom)

Lke someone else stated, water slowly. I try and make a depression around the base of my plant so that when I water it trickles to the center vs out to the sides. If you let it seep in slowly the soil will expand and the water wont all end up on the floor.

So i feel like I just restated myself over and over. sorry about that. Just smoked the first of my bud and it def does the job. Dunno about the functional high I was aiming at though lol.

What will work for me as well is watering a little bit and coming back in a couple hours and water the same amount again.

what i was doin is watering, breaking up the first 2 inches of top soil(cause about after an inch down its pretty dry still), then watering a lil bit more...i guess i will jus cut down waterin a lil more and see what that does.
