Prospective Student Looking for Clarity

So I'm a prospective student looking at Washington State U, U of Idaho, and Northern Arizona U.

I recently got back from a trip to those schools looking for clarity and reassurance so that I wouldn't make a mistake on choosing a school. However, after visiting the schools I'm still stumbled to make a final decision because I enjoyed all of them.

Does anyone know any information relative to this topic of the area? I don't care if they have great weed or anything, but if anyone has any positive or negative things they have experienced with the schools, please post.

Let's look from a point of view that doesn't consider money..

Anyway, here is what I think if the school and what not.

Weed, easy to get. Quality, if they can tell you the name, it is gonna be awesome. Otherwise it is probably ditch weed or the like but it is decent.

School, just added an addition to the student union. Plenty of bomb places to eat on campus but make sure to get dining dollars or something similar as they charge extra for cash or charge.

Flagstaff, doesn't want you here/there. No joke. Good luck finding off campus housing. When you do it's gonna cost you big time!

Tons of places to hike, ride, snowboard, ski, etc.

Certain aspects about the school and city suck. Don't be fooled by the downtown area, this is a CITY not a TOWN. Last I heard the population is around 50,000. There are a couple decent head shops. The train will make you late for quite a few things. If you like Mexican food don't expect to find any worth eating here. I could go on for ever but if you have specific questions feel free to ask.

I'd choose WSU out of those. Who wants to ever go to Idaho for anything? And Arizona degrees are looked upon in the job market as a certification you can party hard.

WSU in Vancouver is right next to Portland Oregon. There's a million things to do here, in every direction and of every type when you aren't otherwise busy. The Metro area is now around 1-2 million in population but you won't be smothered by it, it's all spread out.

This is true for ASU and UofA. NAU has really been working on setting itself apart from the other "party schools".

How far away is the mountain to snowboard from Flagstaff?

There's SO MANY chicks, and the food was great.

I'm probably going to decided to go Greek, how's the Frat's there? I heard that there is one main building where there is all the frats, which I kind of dislike.

What grade are you? Major? Are you happy with your choice going to NAU?

The Idaho campus was really nice. People there were really nice and friendly. There might not be much to do but it's the same as WSU. Those schools are like 10-15 minutes apart. A lot of chicks too.

The Greek houses there looked like a lot of fun too.

I didn't mean WSU Vancouver, but in Pullman, Washington.

I understand that NAU has a notorious reputation for partying but I really didn't get that impression when I was touring it, and I loved the weather there. Cold, but sunny.

It's about a 20 minute drive. If your looking for chicks go to ASU, during the summer they are barely wearing cloths! I thought the same thing about the food, trust me, if it was in the all-you-can-eat area, it will NEVER be that good again.

Not much in the way of Frat's here.

This is my Junior year but I have been fucking around for a while so I have a ton of creds that go toward nothing. Personally NAU isn't my kind of school. Moving back to Phoenix after this semester. It's so much cheaper in Phoenix rent wise. More jobs and almost all of my friends live in Phoenix. If you stick to living on campus it will be cheaper and you will meet more people.

Now that I think about it, NAU is a bit of a party school... But since the Greek scene is a bit weak the parties are different. If you like sitting around smoking pot, drinking, and listening to music then it is awesome. Nothing really crazy. It's the kind of party that you could go to every day no matter what you got going on the next day cause your not gonna be hungover.

Could you explain a little more about the frats? How are the parties there inside or outside the Greek system?

I'm not just looking for chicks, but I was saying that the amount of chicks at NAU was definitely a huge plus.

Rhe ones at NAU are a bit different. You hear almost nothing about hazing, giant parties, etc. I don't know a ton about it so I would get a hold of someone at the school and talk to them about it.

There are quite a few girls at NAU. My view of college was skewed from growing up near ASU. When I think frats, girls, and parties; it all comes from ASU. So when someone calls NAU a party school or that there are a ton of chicks, I'm comparing that comment to ASU.

Buncha potato farmers and retired cops. Ive heard Idaho is the number one spot for retired law enforcement.

University of Idaho is basically right next to the border of Washington. The campus cops are known to be very nice and actually choose to ignore busting people at parties.
