I'll agree with 50/50 for now. Buddy of mine has been growing for 25+ years and is getting lazy and has ended up with several hermies lately.

The last sample bag I got from him ended up having 34 seeds in it. In the past you never found any seeds in his stuff.

I saved them and have germed, vegged and flowered 8 of the seeds and so far they are all female. Now what are the odds of that? No hermies yet, just wicked, whitish hairs.

If the majority of the remaining 26 seeds end up female, I may have to change my opinion of 50/50 chance of being female.

I think that Hermi seeds are a weak and bad genetic... But If you had nice result using them, Good for you ;) For my part, I never had hermie in 10yrs growing... I would KILL it as soon as I see it Cause I want to keep my strains Clean...

So far so good. I've never had a hermie either. I've been growing for 5 years and (knock on wood) I haven't had any hermies myself either and only 1 male in that time. I attribute it to pure luck so far.

DOESNT MEAN COZ THE SEED CAME FROM A PLANT THAT WENT HERM THAT THE SEED WILL ALSO GO HERM, READ THE PREVIOUS POST BOUT THE GUY WHO BEEN GROWING 25 YRS AND HIS BUDDY GREW AND FLOWERED SEED FROM HERM SUCCESFULLY, IF ITS NOT CAUSED BU GENETICS AND STRESS THEN THERES EVERY CHANCE HE CAN GROW A FEM SUCCESFULLY, U SHOULD NEVER KILL A PLANT UNLESS ITS TOTALY APPROPRIATE, (ONLY MY OPINION)

I HAVE 2 BIGBUD SEEDS IN AT THE MO THAT CAME FROM A HERM AND THEIR BOTH GIRLIES, IVE MADE A JOURNAL AS AN EXPERIMENTAL GROW TO SEE IF U CAN GROW HERM SEEDS FROM START TO FINNISH WITHOUT PROBLEMS, WELL SOON SEE. PEACE OUT:bigjoint:

Ok but I would never try to keep an hermie btw ;) I'm a purist with the genetic... I tried many cross in the past but never pushed to the F1 and found that I really hate non-stabilized genetic, So from that time, I only grow known stabilized strain and Get GREAT result without an hermi in my whole life... I think that if your seeds are from a hermie, they carry the 'weakness' in their chromozomes and your strain is now weakened and will give more hermies on 100 plants than any other pure genetic. I hate growing a plant for the buds and after two months, having males (even if I don't buy feminized, by choice). So If I have the chance to get hermie and Male! I would stop growing for ever... Hermie gives (more chance for) Hermie FOR SURE. It's written in their chromozomes... Take a Pure Award winning Cocker and cross it with a chowchow and hope having Cockers after... not a great chance... maybe 1 on 10000 ...
